7 TopicsXR500 as wireless ethernet bridge
I want to setup my XR500 as a wireless ethernet bridge. Why? Becuase I have an XR500 and 4 devices that do not have WiFi adapters in a room that I can't run a wire. I know I could use a cheaper router to do this, but I already have an XR500. I don't need to use the wi-fi on my XR500, except to brigde to another router. (If I could run a wire, I would use a 5 port Gb switch) Netgear has instructions for how to set up a router in bridge mode: https://kb.netgear.com/24105/What-is-bridge-mode-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Nighthawk-router But I think these instructions are not for the XR500. Any help is appreciated.8.7KViews0likes7CommentsAC3000 Connect to Comcast
Good evening, I'm trying to set up my Orbi RBR50 with my current Comcast ISP. I can set up the Orbi network, but then when I set Orbi to Router mode and enable bridging on Comcast hardware the network drops out. So, ultimately, I'd like to set it up to run as the router and disable the Comcast wifi. What steps am I missing? Thank youR7000 in bridge mode (AP) with Disney Circle
Hello, I have a R7000 router, in bridge mode wich is connected to my ISP supplied modem, a Huawei brand. I need to have the Huawei connected becuase it has a VOIP connection and the R7000 doesnt. I want to use the new Disney Circle, however when I go to connect to the R7000 via the iOS APP it says that I cant connect to the R7000 when it is in AP or Bridge Mode. My question is. How can I use Disney Circle (full paid access) with my current setup. Are then any settings or hardware changes I can do? I know I can remove the Huawei, but I will lose my VOIP.2.5KViews1like3CommentsC6300 Cable Modem Router Bridged. Will Not Factory Reset.
I can log in via browser at 192.168.100.1 (Default Bridge IP), Router Mode is NO and will not change to YES after Apply. Also, Factory Reset button reboots the router but nothing ever changes. Also tried a hard 30/30/30 to no avail. I have a feeling my ISP is up to something (tampabay.rr.com - road runner). Cannot see SSID either as 2.4Ghz is not lit. My Network Map has 300+ items from ISP. Has anyone ever heard of something like this before?2.8KViews0likes2CommentsR6400 in bridge mode
My R6400 is not communicating with the "little black box" of our internet provider... rise broadband. And the second light from the left is not lighting up. I first thought it was a problem with rise but everything was working fine on their end and they believe the problem is my router went into "bridge mode." So what can I do to fix that?SolvedC7000 Bridge mode to R7000 am i getting all the benefits of the 24x8 channel bonding? test 0.3mbps?

I upgraded my R7000 firmware from 1.0.4.28 to 1.0.7.6. I had my R7000 setup as a bridge before the upgrade. I logged into the router after the firmware update and the bridge setup now has its own section under Advanced setup instead of being a Use other operation mode check box and configuration under Wireless settings. It is totally different than the previous configuration and only the old configuration method is covered by the R7000 Users Manual. I have tried without success to configure the R7000 as a wireless bridge. There is no configuration section to input the parameters of the R7900 5G network I am trying to connect to. Can anyone help out with this configuration?Solved9.6KViews0likes3Comments
