Circle

I have Android 8.1.0 and I can't get Orbi to work with Circle. I open Circle app and click "Get Started". It says make sure you are connected to your router, which I am. So I click Next. Then it says that your firmware is out of date (which it is not!!!!). So it asks if I would like to update the firmware and gives to choices to the question: Yes Please or No Thanks. If I choose no thanks, it stops the whole thing as if I did not want circle at all. If I choose "Yes Please", it gives me a login prompt for my router credentials, which I put in. Then it says "Updating Firmware .... take a break this will take a few minutes". After a long time, it then says: "Reconnect to your router .. Return to the Wi-Fi settins on this Android device and connect back to <myssid>. When you return here, we'll enable circle on your router. " But I am already on the orbi's ssid. So then I click Next. Then it says "Enabling Circle .... This will just take a moment. Then it says the same thing as before "Reconnect to your router .. Return to the Wi-Fi settins on this Android device and connect back to <myssid>. When you return here, we'll enable circle on your router. " The "Next" button replaced with a non-clickable button that says "Logging In ..." It stays there the rest of the time. What is wrong?Converting from Circle box to Circle on Orbi
I’ve been using a Circle Disney box connected to my Orbi router before it became avalaible as part of a recent software upgrade. My question is how do I switch my Circle box over to the Orbi directly? Is it as simple as disconnecting the Circle box and enabling the Circle feature on Orbi? The Circle box has battery backup so I’m concerned about having two instances of Circle running. Will the Circle app automatically recognize the new switch over to the Orbi setup?Orbi RBK22 - Circle by Disney is not working - Firmware out of date message
I just purchased the Orbi RBK22 for my home with the purpose of setting up Circle by Disney for my kids. Unfortunately, the Circle by Disney feature does not work. I setup the hardware and downloaded the Orbi, Genie, and Circle apps. When I launch the Circle app it detects that my Orbi is capable of running Circle on it. When I go through the steps to enable Circle, it finds that my router is not running the latest version and asks if it is ok to update it. (Ironically, I looked at the website and it is already running the latest version available at V2.0.0.64 for both RBR20 and RBS20.) The Circle app tries to update then comes back with a "Something went wrong - Firmware does not support Circle. Please try upgrading again." message. I have tried updating a few times from the app and still no luck with the same message. Please help! Thanks!Circle Parental Controls Don't Work if in AP Mode?
I was excited to see I could put parental controls on the Orbi, but then after loading Circles app and trying to enable it said it didn't work in AP Mode. As I have a router from my ISP that also provides cable TV I have to use their router in order to see the TV Listings that come in through the Coax connection on the main router. any ideas on how I can resolve this inability to use parental controls? P.S. Orbi works well, but disappointed with the limited features to manage on the unit via Admin - many more on the cheaper FIOS router.Managing time limits with Circle and Orbi
I've enabled Circle for my home network so I can monitor the kids interent usage. Very nice add on for Orbi! One bit of pushback that I get is that the kids think that the Circle app / Orbi system overstates usage. For example, I have a limit set for 3 hours/day. Even though they may not be on their device for 3 straight hours, the system logs the time when the phone or computer are sending traffic through to the internet. Aside from asking them to just shut off their device, or drop their connection to the internet on the device, I don't know if there is a way for me to set a time for "active" internet use. Is there a setting that I missed that would track this a little better? Perhaps this is a better question for a forum on the Circle website, but I thought I would start here. Thanks for any help from the community.can't find circle hotspot; I have a circle device AND and netgear orbi RBR50
I already have a Circle device (got it before circle was added to my Orbi router) and had been using it for a few months earlier this year. I had the circle device offline for a few months, and in the mean time I got a new cell phone (andoid) and now am trying to set up my circle again using the app on my new phone, but can't find the circle hotspot--its not listed in settings>wifi. I don't want to use the basic circle functionality that is now part of the netgear router since it doesn't offer all of the features that the circle device offers, so I want to use the device, just as i was earlier this year.Disney Circle - History: How to tell why a site was filtered?
In the Disney Circle App (iPhone), when vieweing a profile's history, you can get a list of all the sites that were filtered. Is there a way to tell why they were filtered? Which category, or platform caused the filter? Or was it because they reached a timelimit? Or because it was after bed time? This article describes the part of the app I'm talking about, but it didn't help much.Solved
