Also, when you tried to check for updates It's give you UP TO DATE ! _________________________________________________________________ Is it difficult for a large and leading company in the field of routers like Netgear to Push an OTA update 12.04.12.01 to all owners of the MR5100-1Z1MES model ? By the way .... The vendor not cooperate at all In Middle EastSolvedNighthawk M1 - selection of LTE Frequency/Band
Hello there, is there any way to select the LTE Band/Frequency the router should log on to? This would really help to avoid switching from a "good" cell to a bad one. With Huawei Routers I can do that using a third party tool. (LTE Watch). Unfortunately this is not available for Netgear Routers. Thanks for your comments!MR1100 WebGUI new features wishlist
What new WebGUI features you would like to have on your MR1100 device in the future ? I may start saying that ability to lock LTE single band would be useful. Then LTE diagnostics screen could have some more information with adjustable screen refresh rate. I would say good refresh rate is 0.5 - 1 seconds. Two seconds is too slow. Customers deserve good basic tools to diagnose LTE signal problems (without professional tools like QXDM Pro).Nighthawk LTE hotspot + external antennas
I am in the United States. I purchased the Nighthawk LTE hotspot directly from AT&T. I have several technical questions about the two external antenna ports on this hotspot. 1) Do the external antenna ports support MIMO? In other words does adding a second antenna significantly improve download/upload speeds when using AT&T LTE enabled cell towers? 2) What is the impedance (ohms) of the external antenna ports? 50 ohm? 75 ohm? other? 3) What is the maximum power output by EACH external antenna port in watts? 4) This hotspot has 4 internal antennas (4x4 MIMO and 4x carrier aggregation). What happens to the 4 internal antennas when the first external antenna is connected? when the second external antenna is connected? are the internal antennas disabled? is hotspot MIMO disabled entirely? if the external antennas ports support MIMO, does that mean when two external antennas are connected the hotspot operates in 2x2 MIMO mode?Failover Notification LB 2120...
Hello, I just purchased a LB 2120 LTE Modem to set up on our home network for use in failover mode when our cable modem goes down for whatever reason. It is working as I expect and failing over when I simulate a cable modem failure. I'd like to be notified when the failover occurs and this is where I have an issue. I'm using Project Fi (Google's MVNO that sits on top of a number of networks). Project Fi allows you to have any number of data-only SIMs attached to your account but only one voice+data SIM. The data-only SIM works fine for failing over but can not send SMS messages and that is the only mechanism that I can find on the 2120 to get notified when failover occurs. Anyone have any other ideas? Surely I'm not the only one using Project Fi with this product. Thanks for your help. ArnNighthawk M5 5G standalone (SA) support
Is the Nighthawk M5 router going to get 5G SA support? I'm from Finland and as a customer of Elisa, I've had access to their SA network for quite a while now. It is my understanding that this should be quite easily achievable with a firmware upgrade. As far as I was able to find, support has not been added. I am fully aware that this is a discontinued product but considering its price, which was by far one of the highest (if not the highest) of its category, and the fact that it was (still kind of is) a top of the range product, I'd expect to recieve at least compatibility updates like this (or why are we paying premium for Netgear's products if they don't get premium support...?). Just as an example, the M6 (non-Pro) currently cost basically 250 € more than any other 5G router, mobile or otherwise, on the market here, and it was the same with the M5. So what are we paying extra for?Can not send sms with Netgear Nighthawk m6 6500
Does the device for 1000€ lack such a basic function that was in all previous m models? I can't send SMS either from the router, or from the application, or from the web panel. And without this function, the router simply turns into garbage, since my operator obliges me to send SMS every 10GB. Surprisingly, a year ago I asked to add the Auto send SMS function, and now it turns out that this function is either hidden or absent.mDNS on Nighthawk m1
I just got a Nighthawk M1. Mainly because I needed a portable solution to set up a LAN for some devices. An internet connection is not necessary for my use. All the devices is setup so they can be connected to via mDNS / .local connection. I can access my devices if I type in the local IP address of the device, but if I use the .local address it just forwards to the m1login.net router control panel address. I know that the mDNS system work on other networks I have tested before, including mobile hotspot from a smartphone. Does mDNS not work with the Nighthawk M1? Is there some setting that need to be configured? Does mDNS on a LAN only work when a SIM card is used (this would be a strange one)? Any suggestions on how to fix this?Netgear lb2120 wireline unavailable
Hi guys Just purchased this to get some failover action for my broadband. I have been able to get it to work with 4G and its what I am using right now. I have configured it to bridge mode and also tried the router mode but for whatever reason, it is not picking up my wireline. I have connected the wireline from my Virgin Media router into the WAN port and connected the LAN port directly to my desktop so I can test it with a single device. I have tried to connect it to my main router from the LAN port as well but no joy. I don't think there is anything wrong with the LAN port but really the WAN port is just not working. I have also tried a different cable. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change? Again, I have tried both bridge and router mode. Am I missing something here? Please see attached image
