I am trying to connect two of these switches at a distance of 200 meters. Can these switches handle 10G speeds between the two switches if I used 2 matching fiber SPF adapters at each switch or are these limited to only 1G? I know the limit on each Ethernet port is 1G but I can't find what the limits or capabilities would be using the SPF ports on each switch. These units have 4 SPF ports.Solved4.5KViews0likes2CommentsReplacement for JFS524F switch with SFP module for Fiber
Hi folks, Have a small network spanning 2 buildings connected via fiber. Each end has a JFS524F switch with AF711F fiber SFP module. I am seeing packet drops at the remote end. 1. How do I troubleshoot this? I have powercycled both switches and problem continues. 2. One option is to replace both ends with Gigabit switches supporting fiber module. Netgear site says JGS524F, but that may be obsolete. What is the least expensive way to replace this functionality? I believe the fiber module that I want is the AGM731FSolved2.4KViews0likes4CommentsReadyNAS 4220 10gb connectivity
Hi, we have a new 4220 model with 1gb and 10gb copper connections. We want to use the 10gb interfaces, but do not have any 10gb copper interfaces in the environment. Are there Netgear cards that can be purchased and installed in this to provide 10gb FIBER connectivity? Thanks for the assist.
