NETGEAR ROUTERS: "NEXT BUTTON" is (grey, greyed) when attempting to use the NETGEAR GENIE wizard to configure an ACCESS POINT. (A grey button is essentialy disabled or not enabled and will not function.) The following describes a rather frustrating bug that you have probably encountered while working with a NETGEAR ROUTER. I will help you to address and work around the issue (bug) that you have encountered while using the NETGEAR GENIE APP to manually configure your NETGEAR ROUTER to be an ACCESS POINT / AP. This problem is encountered on the 'network name and security settings' page (can be found on other firmware pages) and manifests as a disabled (grey or greyed out) NEXT button which prevents the user from continuing to the next configuration menu page.3.3KViews0likes1CommentMy Parent Control got disable after firmware update. R7500
After I update my router firmware, I lost parent control option. I have a Nighthawk X4 AC2350. The Router model is R7500v2 and the current firmware version V1.0.3.26. When I click on Parental Control in the Netgear Genie, I got the error message below: Checking Router Firmware We're making sure you have firmware that supports Like Parental Controls. It looks like you might not be connecting to the Internet through a supported NETGEAR router. Please make sure your computer is connected to you NETGEAR router via a wireless or Ethernet connection and try again. If this problem persists, turn off you router and turn it back on, wait until LEDs are lit and try again. For further assistance visit http://netgear.opendns.com/support. I have tried both connecting to the router wire and wireless and none work. My NETGEAR router connects to a AT&T U-Verse. And it has been work fine before I updated the new firm ware.
