Hi, We have used this extender successfully for several months. We recently upgraded to NBN so have a new wifi router. We have followed video and connected it to new router using Ethernet cable. The Netgear extender is connected via Ethernet cable in our shed. When we try to connect to it, it picks up our correct wifi network but when we enter the wifi password it says we cannot join! What do we do?721Views0likes1CommentEX2700 i cant remember login or security answers

Hi, I've been having trouble getting a wired connection with my Netgear Extender after we replace our Xfinity router due to the previous one being fried during a storm. It's been giving me Unidentified Network/ Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration. My current setup is a Cisco Xfinity Modem/Router Hybrid Model DPC3941T in the main office on the main floor and the EX7300 Netgear Extender in the basement set up as an extender. WiFi is strong and is working normally, only the wired connection is giving me a hard time. I have some knowledge/experience with troubleshooting and have already tried most of the basic troubleshooting steps to see what was wrong. - Factory reset the extender / modem / router - Replaced ethernet cable - Used a switch between the extender and computer - Did multiple ipconfig /release /renew with no results - Did the netsh commands to reset TCP/IP reset - Uninstalled the network driver / reinstalled with the current driver / tried using older driver - Did sfc /scannow - Gave the extender a static IP - Gave the computer a static IP / 10.0.0.1 / 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.1 as gateways I am getting a connection from the ethernet port on the EX7300 so it's not hardware related and more on the computer side. I've probably visited hundreds of sites and forums and tried the solutions there but my situation stayed the same. Here's my ipconfig /all Windows PowerShell Copyright (C) 2016 Microsoft Corporation. Hi - we upgraded to the BTHub6, and now our EX6200 wont allow us to connect to it via wifi We can see the extender in the BT home hub admin console, but cannot change any details (e.g. static IP is used rather than DHCP) We can see the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks in the wifi list from a laptop, tablet or phone BUT when trying to connect (password is accepted) - but says 'no internet connection' I cannot connect via mywifiext.net .... or the IP address 198.168.1.250 I have tried ethernet from the BThub to the router. It says found, but no congifg page available so I can see any settings. Any help appreciated - thank you4.2KViews0likes2CommentsWN2000RPTv2 Wifi Speed Issues
So i've had this extender (Netgear WN2000RPT v2) for some time now and never had any issues with it, moved to other homes and was able to set it up again and again with no issues. But, up until about a week ago, January 16th 2017, my internet speed when connected to my extender wasnt as fast as it usually was. I first noticed this when i was playing League of Legends on my laptop that is connected to my extender directly, my ping in game would jump up to +200 ms than my usual 45-75 ms, and would keep fluctuating and just made playing the game impossible to enjoy. I thought maybe it was just the servers for LOL, but when i tried to watch a video on youtube in 480p it would stop to buffer and it has NEVER done that before. Ive tried reseting my extender and router, checking to see if any firmware updates need to be installed, there were none. But i have had no luck with finding a soltion to this issue and im not sure what else to do. Even dissconnecting devices from my network didnt help and in some cases made my ping go even higher in game! This could very well be just League of Legends but, since i had issues with watching a video on youtube im starting to doubt that's the reason. I am open to any and all suggestions but, i think maybe the best solution is to buy a new extender all together. Thanks in advance for your help!3.5KViews0likes1CommentWN3000RP signal ext
I have the WN3000RP signal extender, that is extending my signal from my main router, which is a Cisco Linksys EA3500. However I have a older Netgear router which is a WGR614v10. I cannot seem to get the netgear and the Cisco linksys router to connect as in repeat or bridge, (unless i am doing something wrong). So I thought I would extender the signal with the extender and tehn connect the Netgear router to the extender as a bridge or repeater. Any advice? Thank you in advance.5.5KViews0likes6Comments
