Looking for some guidance on "untag VLAN" as suggested by Google. I have an ISP router from Movistar with a Fiber Optic connection and they have suggested I do not use Bridge mode on their router as its likely to cause some issues. ISP Router has 3 VLANS 6, 3, 2 2 for IPTV 6 for Data 3 for VOIP Have installed a Google HOME NEST ROUTER and 3 points Google supports VLAN tag values of 2, 7, and 10 Performance is not great and Google suggested I buy a Managed switch to UNTAG the VLANS. i bought a Netgear managed switch GS305E I am now swimming in deep water! How do I "UNTAG" the VLANS in the switch. Have downloaded the Netgear Insight APP but am now strugglingPresale Q: Connecting M3400-8X8F to HP 3500-yl-48G (J8693A) with 10-GbE Module (J8694A)
I’m about to purchase two M3400-8X8F have some questions. These will be redundant core switches for 5 servers, including my 3-node failover cluster. My storage is direct connected SAS (Dell PowerVault MD3220) so I won’t need iSCSI for the time being. I have 2 x HP ProCurve Switch 3500yl-48G (J8693A) which will handle all other client (workstations, printers, VoIP, etc.) connections. Each of the ProCurve switches has an HP 10-GbE Module (J8694A) installed, along with 2 x HP ProCurve 10-GbE X2-SC SR Optic transceivers (J8436A) - I have SC > LR multimode fiber cables to use for connecting each ProCurve switch to both ProSafe M3400-8X8F switches. I need to make sure this will work before purchasing the 2 M3400 switches. Any advice or warnings for me? I’ve been looking at LC adapters from https://www.fs.com/c/netgear-10g-sfp-plus-73?lc=21695 Cable length will be 3 meters at most, which transceivers would be best to purchase? Also, how much does the NMS300 – ProSAFE Network Management System software cost, and is it worth it? I'd also want to purchase premium support as I have zero experience with Netgear enterprise gear. I greatly appreciate your advice and assistance, thank you in advance for your help!Solved2.4KViews0likes3CommentsSNMP option to display VLAN membership to ports
Hello, Is it possible to display ports belonging to VLAN via SNMP? I searched all SNMP information, but I did not find the value I was looking for. Also on the internet there is no information on this subject. Thank you for your help. Grzegorz2.1KViews0likes3CommentsCan't change profile. Can't register my 25 switches. Need support.

Hi Guys, I have my switch connected to my LAN but I am unable to get the Android App "Netgear Insight" to connect and see the switch. The switch is listed within the app, but when I try to access it, it says the switch is unavailable. Does the app assume that the switch is on a specific subnet? I believe the manual says to use the .0.x subnet, but I have it on the .1.x subnet. Could this be why the app can't access the switch? If not, can anyone suggest any other way to get to manage the switch via my Android? Thanks!3.2KViews0likes5CommentsNetgear Insight
Hi I intend to get M4300-12X12F switches around 15 units for inter-building voice networking Pabx (PSTN and PRI ISDN). Is it possible to use Insight app to monitor these switches? If yes, i am aware we can monitor thru mobile and but can i also display live thru desk monitor? if, yes any application download or server specs? Is this insight more like NMS? Is there also an option for on-premise hosting instead of cloud hosted? VikSolved2.3KViews0likes5CommentsConfiguring Static IP on one interface and NAT it to internal VLAN
Hello! I am not very much familiar with Netgear managed switchs. What I would like to do is that I want to configure a static IP as an external IP 84.x.x.x on the router on any one interface and create a NAT to one of the internal VLAN. Basically, when I connect a PC to this swtich then it gets IP address like 192.168.1.10 issued from an internal DHCP server but the traffic should go from the external IP 84.x.x.x and received on the same IP NAT internally to IP 192.168.1.10. I am not sure if this is possible to do this on a managed switch or not. So, please help me on this. Thanks Ankit3.3KViews0likes4CommentsGC110 & GC110P - Cloud Server is Unreachable
Here goes nothing for my first post: Purchased these yesterday and they appeared to be the "latest & greatest" and fit a particular need for a client. I got the GC110 setup yesterday and it was connecting to the Cloud just fine. Fast forward to today and neither the GC110 or the GC110P will connect to the cloud. I have reset both at least 3 times and recreated networks and the issue persists. I finally got it to the point that I could see them locally in the Insight app but they are still not connecting to the Cloud. Please see attached photo for issue. I also attached logs from both.4.6KViews0likes7CommentsInsight Management App is Perfect for your Business - Find Out Why - NETGEAR Blog
