Just got one of these, specifically for the bridge mode. For use in Canada on the Bell Mobility LTE network (which I understand is supposed to be compatible. Had the SIM in a Huwei hub provided by Bell, which worked just fine. Anyway, put the SIM in the Netgear, powered on and connected directly to my PC with Ethernet. Log in and it indicates that I'm disconnected. Interestingly, it shows me an SMS, so at least those are coming through. I check the APN settings and notice it's set to pda.bell.ca. Check on the Bell site, and for turbo sticks it's supposed to be set to inet.bell.ca. So I change it. Still no connectivity. So I try manually selecting the network. When I scan, it usually shows me three networks. Bell, Rogers, and sometimes Telus but other times EXT. I have no idea what EXT is. The first time I do this, it shows Rogers as current. So I think that must be the problem. I select Bell and wait. Nothing happens. Try it again. This time after the scan it shows "EXTUS" (whatever that is) as current. Try selecting Bell again. No change. See screenshots below. Also tried turning it on and off between the change in settings. Didn't make a difference. Still disconnected. I'm pretty sure it isn't a problem with the SIM card, as it worked on the Huawei and I seem to be geting some basic connectivity (i.e. the SMS message and the ability to scan for networks). Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Not sure what else I'm supposed to do, short of returning the thing. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.SolvedLB1120 Product Manual, Registration, and Firmware
BACKGROUND I received my LB1120 on Feb 15 and got it up and running without too much trouble. There was no Users' Manual included nor is there a UM on the Netgear support site. I had to use the manual for the EU version (LB1110) QUESTIONS 1. When will the UM for the LB1120 be avaiable? 2. I tried to register my product, except the LB1120 is not aviable in the registration model drop down. 3. Logged into the web interface, when I attempt to check for new firmware, it reports some sort of problem when checking.SolvedLB2120 LB1120 send email instead of sms
Hello, Have written before but never had a reply. I need my LB2120 LTE modem to send me a message when it fails over to 4g but I cannot find a data plan that also will send a text so it would be great if we had the option for sending an email. Has anyone else found a carrier that sells a pay as you go data plan that will also send a sms message?
Hi there, Purchased a Nighthawk M1 (MR1100) from Telstra recently. Seems to work well in terms of speed. But a few problems including severe lack of configuration for DHCP (the only item you can configure is DHCP range - there's no fixed host mappings, or any even basic features present in almost every other device on the market. I really hope this is addressed in a future patch or Netgear advise a secret menu to access these basic features as it's really disappointing and lets the router down at the present time). However, it's by far the fastest I've ever tested. Anyway to the main problem. Every day when I come home the device is no longer providing Internet over the connected ethernet cable. I can connect to the modem admin screen fine, and it reports it's connected to the internet (reports LTE connection is fine and has been connected for over a day); however, no devices on the network can use the internet and the only way to solve it is by restarting the MR1100 multiple times eventually it starts routing traffic again. This problem does not occur on any of the other modems I've tested using the same SIM/Service so it's definitely an issue with the MR1100. Something is wrong with the software - need someone from Netgear to sort this out. Also Netgear you need to add the Nighthawk M1 to your model list as I had to assign this ticket against a random unrelated modem as your product list isn't up to date.LB1121 POE???
I submitted a support ticket over a month ago about this and still no answer/fix. The LB1121 will not restart via POE. I have used a Ubiquiti POE injector and a T-Link POE injector with the same results. Sometimes the injectors will power the divice, sometimes they won't and I get no power. I have had a LB1121 running for weeks at a time off the Ubiquiti 48v POE injector with no problem at all. If I unplug the ethernet cable and plug it back in, it will not restart. It works flawlessly off the 12v wall plug every time. But if I try to switch it to POE, nothing. After an unknown amount of time(days) of it sitting unplugged on my desk, it will all the sudden work again via POE. The entire senerio makes no sense. I can not find any patern to the problem....sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. I have already RMA'd my first unit and the replacment has the same problem. I have resorted to purchasing a 2nd LB1121 to keep as a backup for when I lose power or something. I have an extra to rotate in. They both have the same POE restart problem. Pretty annoying to say the least! That is a total of 3 LB1121 units I have had that all have the same issue. There is literally zero documentation about the POE standard used for the LB1121. Is it passive poe, is it 802.3at or af or what? Its a mistery because Netgear doesn't povide any information and their tech support has no answers. What voltage is required for the LB1121 to start via POE? How may amps does the LB1121 use? What specification are required for a POE injector that is compatible with the LB1121? Providing some detailed POE requirements for your product would probably go a long way! It seems crazy that Netgear doesn't even know what POE standard their own device uses. Its also crazy that Netgear would sell a POE device that doesn't work properly with the most common POE injectors available! Super annoying! Will we see a firmware update for the LB1121 anytime soon? a. Fix POE problems stated above. b. Fix "passthrough" mode so its not on a p2p /32 link so we can use real routers. c. More LTE band settings. It would be nice to be able to force bands, etc.
Hi all, im new here :) i don't own any Netgear products at the moment but am thinking of purchasing some, but here is my issue. Early on i was on eBay, i seen a Sunhans signal booster 1800 MHZ LTE booster the seller is based in South Korea and am not sure if i wanna take the plunge as I've never had a outdoor indoor mobile phone signal repeater booster. So then i jumped onto Amazon i came across the NETGEAR DC112A my issue is, i'm on UK 3 Network soon as i step outside my house, my smartphone jumps onto LTE and internet is really fast.. But soon as i walk in i lose all signal. For example the kitchen there is no signal if there is its real patchy i cant really take calls in the kitchen. Same goes for my living room as calls drop and internet takes for ever to load up pages same issue is in my bedroom.. So my question is do Netgear sell a router or product that will boost the LTE signal ??? spefically that will boost 1800MHz (Band 3) ? i'm not interested in sim slot or hotspots, i need a signal booster ? is this possible ? Can some one please advise me i will be very grateful.. Thanks..SolvedNighthawk M1 loosing 4G connectivity and not getting it back
I'm having issues with my australian Nighthawk M1 while in France, with a french SIM card and a french LTE provider (Free). After a few hours, randomly, the 4G connexions is lost and it does not come back unless I either reboot the routeur, or simply change any of the cellular connectivity settings. I'm near Paris, near the antenna and getting nearly 100 Mbps down & 30 Mbps up. So the connectivity is excellent, I don't think it is an issue with the mobile operator as I have severall people around me using the same one with a different 4G modem and getting 100% stable connectivity. It is a real pain as I use this as my main Internet access and it makes the hardware frequently unusable.LTE Dongle capability on Orbi
C´mon guys, this is something very old already. People want reliability, and the LAN is important, sure, but if the routing engine does not allow any type Multihomming/MultiISP, there's not so much reliability you can get. With LTE dongles everywhere this is a good improvement, also, you could let one LAN port be used for this. Please let the USB port be used for LTE dongles, you can start with the Huawei modems because they are so cheap and good enough that anyone could get one. I have one of the Huawei E5 routers and these are promising equipments bc they let you use an external antenna to improve signal...geesh i need to make this work.
