I see there's a hole for the grounding the chassis on the metal housing of the GS110MX 8-port unmanaged switch, but I can't find out the thread size of the hole. It seems like M4 is a pretty standard size for chassis ground screws, but I'm unable to verify that anywhere. Does anyone have this model of switch and can verify the size of chassis ground screw that fits the hole on the housing?Solved2KViews0likes4CommentsStacking GS810EMX switches @ 10GB
Hi, Is it possible to stack the GS810EMX switch? The way I see it, it would be wired like so: Asus RT-AX89X router 10GB base T port connected to GS810EMX (1) multi port 1 GS810EMX (1) multi port 2 connected to GS810EMX (2) multi port 1 GS810EMX (2) multi port 2 to PC All other LAN ports to various ethernet devices? Is there a 1U rack mount kit available for this unit as I have a dynamix 6 bay cabinet already. thanksMulti-gigibit switch and 10GB switch?
Hello, I see that there are some newer multi-Gigabit switches out that work with Smart Control Center, this is great but they are lacking the ability for full 10Gb across all the ports. Do we know if Netgear will be releasing any full 10GB switches like the Gs108tV2 and or GS110TP.? I do see the other Multigig switch available under the Plus switches (GS110EMX ) but this doesn't work with the Smart Control app and is only 2x 10Gb ports. Would really be Nice to see fully 10GB Small desktop version in the line up soon. Thanks1.6KViews0likes4CommentsM4100 Fiber port not working when connected with another switch fiber port (GS278TPP)
Dears, I have one M4100-12GF Netgear Switch, with 12 combo ports (fiber and ethernet). The M4100 is used to aggregare other switches, which actually connect my IP Cameras. VLAN 20 is configured as Camera VLAN, and have assigned PoE ports for the same. However, the challenge I am facing now is that I am not able to connect the M4100 via fiber port (for example, port 11 F at the M4100 with fiber port 25 on GS728TP Switch ). I did specify port 11F, and port 25 as trunk, and have configured both ports as trunk. When I connect two ports using a multimode fiber cable (which is 50/125 OM3 Multimode), the port on the M4100 Switch does not give light. I have a multi-gig PCIe card in my desktop PC now - currently running at 10 gigabits and connected to my XS708Ev2 switch. I am wondering how the speed would be selected if I had a multi-gig switch. Would it simply take the fastest speed that my PCIe card supports, or would it also take the cable quality (loss/capacitance) into account when it autonegotiates?Solved3.6KViews0likes2CommentsMulti-Gig What management/operations/industry standard protocols does it interact with?
