Says its connected; but no Internet service
I just received my Netgear WN1000RP. The use of the item is supposed to be very simple. Unfortunately, it's not working correctly. I plugged it up, waited for it to be ready, pressed the WPS button; went to my router, pressed the WPS button. The Netgear genie website says the unit was connected. I can connect my devices to the WN1000RP, but it has no Internet service. I checked the Netgear Genie website, go through the Internet setup wizard, it says the WN1000RP is connected to my Internet wireless router, connection is strong and it's ready; but no devices have Internet access. I did a factory reset on the unit. Went through the setup process again. Connected my router; it said the device was ready— same issue; no Internet connection. The device says [from the website] it has a network connection. Tried firmware update; it failed saying no Internet connection. I can connect to the WN1000RP, but apparently it's not connecting to my [main] router properly and providing Internet service. Any thoughts?
