Hi everyone. I am not the most tech savvy person, but I am learning. I have a very resourceful 15 year old I am desperately trying to protect from various websites and this issue is driving me crazy as it seems to be exactly what I'm looking for but simply not working. I have an Open DNS account I created online, I have certain sites blocked through that accunt oline which is connected to my Netgear. But I can type them in and visit them from any device connected to the internet via this router. When I try to login in to the Open DNS, I get this an error message saying to verify that I'm connected to the internet and try again. I am obviously connected to the internet as I'm online posting to this forum. Is anyone else experiencing this? How was it resolved? Please help!!!! Thanks in advance.4.7KViews0likes1CommentHow can I sort the LAN setup list in Netgear genie?
I use the Netgear genie software on Windows 10 with Mozilla Fox Browser version 50.1.0, and Nighthawk X6 R8000 AC3200 Smart WiFi router. I have a long list of items in the LAN setup (Advanced tab --> Setup --> LAN Setup). I cannot sort the list by IP Address or MAC Address or Device Name. I can sort this list in Access Control (Advanced tab --> Security --> Access Control), but it is not the full list of items for which I have reserved IP addresses. When I make a change to any item in the LAN Setup, it goes to the bottom of the list. I have 45 items in the list now and I want to sort them to facilitate finding an item in the list. When an item shows up in the Access Control list, I check the LAN Setup list before allowing the item to connect. I have to search through all the MAC adresses which is tedious. It would be much better if I could sort the list first. I am using Netgear genie Firmware Version V1.0.3.26_1.1.18. It seems such a basic feature to have that I feel I must have missed something in how I am using the software.3.7KViews0likes2CommentsEither u fix the iPhone iOS App or make a mobile version of the website
I have R8000 nighthawk router. I have an iOS 10.3.2 iPhone 6s Plus. For a while now, the app hasn't been working. Can't even login and it keeps throwing the error "router not supported or not found. Make sure the IPv6 is disabled. I have checked and checked and restarted the iPhone, router, reinstalled the app. Nothing works. Atleast give a mobile version of routerlogin.net so we can login thruough the browser. Help me with this please, anyone else having this issue?4.5KViews0likes10CommentsNetgear Genie Android App Login Failure, need help for troubleshooting

Upgraded to Firmware V1.0.3.26_1.1.18. Ever since the upgrade, I cannot get into the router settings. Netgear Genie on an Windows 10 machine (connnected via ethernet cable) lets me get to the "home screen" but if I try to log in I get a message "NETGEAR router is not found or is not supported. Also make sure the device is not connected to the guest network of the router and no IPv6 in enabled." I get the same message on a Window 7 machine connected via wifi (not the guest). (All I can see is the network map & internet traffic before it asks me to log in, then I get this message when the login screen loads.) Tried the http://routerlogin.net, http://192.168.1.1, and http://192.168.0.1 on both windows 10 (Edge and Chrome) and windows 7 (explorer and chrome). All 4 browser versions say the site cannot be reached. Also tried netgear genie on 2 different android devices, both had worked previously. When I try to log in, the "please wait" spinner just goes around and around. (update, after 5 minutes+, the same message above comes up on android device) I've power cycled the router. I have not done a factory reset. If I do and it won't let me in, it's game over. Any suggestions?!Solved5.2KViews0likes2CommentsR7000 remote device not showing up in iOS Mobile Netgear Genie App
I have been using the Netgear Genie App to control my router from my iPhone 6 for a couple months. It worked great! I have an account, I was able to use Network Map to block/open wifi on my devices at home. Then, a few weeks ago, it just wouldn't show up anymore in my Remote Devices when I log into my Remote Access. I have upgraded my router, upgraded my NetGear Genie on my desktop. My iOS app seems to have been updated automatically if it was needed. I really do not know what else to do.Solved6.2KViews0likes4Comments
