Hi, When my Readycloud starts up it shows me "offline". I think it is because the IP address of my NAS changed as I installed an Orbi WLAN which now servers as the primary node for all my devices (NAS, PC, powerline all by cable, printer by WLAN). Does anybody know how I tell Readycloud the new IP address? Everythind else works: I can access the NAS via web portal and windows explorer and raidar also finds it but in the Readycloud admin page is not accessible. Sincerely Carsten1.5KViews0likes1CommentReadyNAS 104 online but not available on ReadyCloud
We have a ReadyNAS 104 which we use for backup. It's running the latest 6.8.0 firmware. ReadyCloud is enabled and logged in with an admin account. The admin page shows internet and services available: But when we log into ReadyCloud with the same admin account, it shows the NAS as being offline: We need remote admin for this machine. Any suggestions? Thanks!Solved2.5KViews1like3CommentsNAS Rn104 Warning Volume media capacity 30% to 5% & System volume root's usage
Hi NAS has been offline for many weeks but I could access using local computer and IP address 192.168.... I had tried logging off, Exiting, clearing browser history and rebooting, some variants of which had resolved the Offline problems in the past. My NAS has often been showing "offline" both to local computer and remote computer. sometimes it seemed to resolve by itself. Away on holiday, NAS returned to the following messages 18 Apr 2017 11:27:22 Less than 30% of volume media's capacity is free. NETGEAR recommends that you add capacity to maintain current performance levels. Continuous protection snapshots will be deleted when volume free space is less than 5%. 18 Apr 2017 11:59:43 Less than 20% of volume media's capacity is free. Performance on volume media will degrade if additional capacity is consumed. NETGEAR recommends that you add capacity to avoid performance degradation. Tue, 18 Apr 2017 12:27:00 Less than 10% of volume media's capacity is free. Performance on volume media is degraded. To improve performance, you must add capacity. 21 Apr 2017 20:18:57 System volume root's usage is 82%. This condition should not occur in normal conditions. Contact technical support. I then couldn't access NAS via IP address (still showing offline) So I then Shut down NAS by pressing power button repeatedly until LED display reported shutting down. (Whilst doing this LED reported free space something like 98%) Took hours to actually shut down and power off. NSA has 2x 1TB Drives installed with less than 5% space used last time I checked Software version last updated sometime last year, cant remember which version. So within 1.5 hours volume media capacity went form less then 30% to less than 5% What's going on? I haven't had time to reboot nor do I want to until i have some idea of what to do. I just switched to a new Wondows 10 computer. My RN 202 was working fine under the old computer. I can see it and work with it on my router just fine. After many hours of searching and frustration, I have loaded all the newest versions of software that I can find and searched this Community for help. Nothing has worked. Why is such a simplething so difficult????? All my other devices hooked up just fine. Tired and frustrated3.3KViews0likes5CommentsReadyCLOUD not connecting
I upgraded my Mac Book Pro and IMAC (both on Sierra 10.12.1) to ReadyCloud 1.4 and now it will not connect. When I use the Readycloud app, it shows "Disconnected" when I try to access the admin page through the readycloud.netgear.com after I am logged in, I get "The admin page can only be accessed with you on the same network LAN as your device". When logged in through the readycould.netgear.com web page I can access by music, pictures etc.. but I cannot get to the admin page as I mentioned. Accessing the Readynas through my IPAD works using the ReadyCloud app. Using Netgear RAIDar finds the Readynas displaying the serial number, healthy status, firmware 6.6.0, IP address and both drives with check marks. I cannot access using the shown IP address using either Chrome or Safari as it trys and then comes back with the message page that it might be too busy, it maybe booting up etc. If I try the discover page and hold the backup button for 5 seconds it finds the ReadyNAS and then when you hit the "manage" button it goes through the same "connecting to the ReadyNAS admin page", it times out and comes back with the same message as above (maybe busy, rebooting etc.) I have tried reloading the Readycloud app on both the IMAC and the Mac Book Pro with the same results. I have even rebooted the ReadyNAS 212 twice with the same results. Rebooted the entire network, same result. Note that everything was working fine until I did the upgrade to 1.4 and nothing else has changed. What next???4.3KViews1like9CommentsRN214 Readycloud offline on web, OS 6.5
Have been able to access via Readycloud for a couple of months with no issue. Now when I try to access via web either via the www.readycloud.netgear.com or the Win7 client, I am getting an offline. This seems to have happened when Comcast did a reset of my modem which is in bridge mode, suspect that ip address has possibly changed. I have no issues accessing unit when on the local lan either by direct ip address, or via www.readycloud.netgear.com. Anyone have any thoughts?Solved6.9KViews0likes18CommentsNo acces for invited person with laptop ("Offline")
Hi, Yesterday I invited my daughter to make use of my NAS. Only remains Readycloud on her laptop ‘offline’. Acces with her Android smartphone no problem. Who can help me? The Nas has a fixed IP address. I personally have no problem in accessing. Hear from you. Regards, Hans3.2KViews0likes6Commentsafter migration no access to readycloud shares for non-admin users
I have completed upgrade of user accounts to mynetgear accounts, firmware on RN104, new readycloud app version, and NAS server migration to mynetgear admin account on 2 different RN104 netgear boxes. When we go to readycloud.netgear.com with the admin account for the box, we are able to browse the shares located on the box and use the ReadyCloud app to sync shares from pc. Everything works. However, when a user that is _not_ the admin account for the NAS server logs on to readycloud.netgear.com via browser, the user sees the Nas server icon but no shares - none of the shared folders that user has been granted access to show up. Likewise, for the non-admin account the readycloud PC app fails to connect to the NAS server - sees "offline". This is a little confusing because I support 2 different NAS boxes, and we have 3 main accounts. Both NAS boxes are RN104, and both display the _exact_ same behavior. Account 1 is admin on NAS1 and can use readycloud.netgear.com via browser and readycloud app just fine, but only on box NAS1. Account 2 is admin on NAS2 and can use readycloud.netgear.com via browser and readycloud app just fine, but only on box NAS2. Even tho this account is granted access to shares on NAS1 box they do not show up in the readycloud.netgear.com web page and the readycloud app shows NAS1 to be offline. NAS2 works fine for this user. Account 3 is granted share access to specific file shares on box NAS1 and NAS2. This account is not able to use readycloud.netgear.com web site or readycloud app to access _either_ NAS server. Readycloud.netgear.com does not show any shares for the 2 NAS boxes, and the readycloud app shows both to be offline. This account is normally in the same network as NAS2, and can access the shares on NAS2 via SMB and the local network just fine. In the migration process on both NAS boxes I used the "leave" and "join" buttons on the Cloud Tab under the readycloud icon, primarily because I was looking at a netgear-supplied instruction that told me I needed to. I re-added share access to the file shares in question after joining / migrating, and the users all accepted the e-mail invitations that were sent as part of the rejoin process.8.8KViews0likes33Comments
