Hi all I have a readynas 204 that previously had 2 x 2 tb HDD in JBOD configuration and everything was working fine. I then added a 4 tb HDD into the 3rd slot, also in JBOD configuration. It was recognized and formatted as a volume. However, now when I try to create a new share (on ANY of the drives, not just the newly added 4 tb drive) I get an error message: "folder operation failed Could not add share due to configuration update failure. Code: 1013030001 Datetime: 07:55:59 02/28/2017" After getting this error, I rebooted a couple of times and then also updated the firmware to 6.6.1 and I still can't create any new shares. Any ideas?4.2KViews0likes4CommentsAdding 4TB - total storage volume not increased
Hi, We have a Readynas nv+ v2 used for backing up to. It has 4x2TB hdd’s. The NAS has run out of space and I am in process of adding 2 new 4TB drives. I am adding one drive at the time and have only added 1 drives so far. After adding 1x 4TB drive the storage ‘size’ has not increased – it seems that only 2TB of the new drive is used. I can see in the admin section (under info) that the 4TB (3726GB) is recognised. Before adding the second 4TB drive I want to make sure this work. Any idea how expand the storage over all drives? Hi, Just had to reset my Ready NAS Duo RND2150 V1 back to factory specs due to a HDD failure. Currently it is at V4.01C1-p2 - tried upgrading to 4.1.8 - 4.1.14 and they all fail with "invaled image" error. I would like to upgrade to the latest version to be able to use some modern NAS drives. None of the available images work from the Netgear download site. Any ideas on how to get this upgraded?2.4KViews0likes1CommentChanged from BT homehub to Netgear D6200 no longer access NAS devices
So, pretty much as the title says, I changed from BT home hub 3 to Netgear D6200 and now the NAS devices are not accessible. I have kept the BT modem and just replaced the router. The new netgear router is connected to the internet and everything works fine except for accessing my NAS drives. I am using a Mac Book Pro, my NAS devices are WD mycloud and a QNAP TS-251. I am currently in the process of moving the data from the WD mycloud to the QNAP other the network via ethernet gigbit. I upgraded the router as there is a lot of data to move and hoped this would make things smoother. I understand resetting the NAS devices will reconfigure the IP settings, this is not a problem for the Qnap as this is empty but the WD mycloud has all the data I need. Can anyone help please?2.3KViews0likes2Commentsswapped disks from one NV+ to another data doesn't show up
I had a NV+ v1 fail and bought a used one so I could to get the data off the hard drives. Swapped the disks from the old to the new. New NV+ shows up in the finder on my iMac, but doesn't show up in RaidAR. I can access through the finder, but none of the files show up. All I see is a file called "homes" and none of my old files are visable. Ideas?Solved5.2KViews0likes8CommentsReplacement PSU spec for ReadyNASRNDP6310 ("3VDUAL power is out of normal range...")
We've just started getting the message "3VDUAL power is out of normal range [expected: 3.30 current: 3.10]." on our ReadyNAS Pro Business Edition (ReadyNASRNDP6310). All other health indicators - including all the temperature indicators - appear to be fine. There are three fans on the unit: one at the side (running); one large one at the back, top (running); and a smaller one at the back, lower down, probably PSU, which is not running. The two fans listed on the health status page are showing a decent RPM, so I assume that the PSU one is not monitored. Searching the forums for this message suggest conflicting answers about what it means; but combined with the fan not going suggests we should replace the PSU. Is it possible to get the specification we need for a replacement PSU for this model? Many thanks,3.9KViews0likes5CommentsMy ReadyNas RNDP6000 won't turn on
Hello. My ReadyNas won't turn on. there's a feeble blink on one of the LAN ports, I already tried replacing the power cord and plugging it into a different socket, with no avail. For what I've found here in the Community this should be a power supply related problem. The unit is out of the warranty terms for a RMA, but I'd like to have it working again, as it contains valuable data. Is there a way to have it fixed? I could not find an assistance shop in Rome searching on the internet and on the Netgear web page. Thank you in advance.3.7KViews0likes3CommentsIs my ReadyNas Pro running too hot?
