I've been searching around and couldn't find anything regarding this specific line of PSU. I never bought a SeaSonic replacement for my Pro 6 and it seems to be out of stock now. And from what I understand it only had 2 power leads for the required 3 molex connectors that power the drives. My PSU is still ok (knock on wood), but I am going to order something to have on hand just in case. After some searching I found the Silverstone SX650-G full modular, and am curious if anyone has any experience using it in a Pro 6 (or similiar). https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=762&area=en Dimension wise it looks like it will fit, and is in fact a little bit slimmer so would protrude into the chassis a bit less. But the height and width are almost identical. The only difference I see is that the fan would not fit or protrude through the cutout in the back, which I can't see as a big deal. The fan will just but up against the back of the chassis. The best part, is that it has 3 individual 4-pin peripheral connectors. The 24-pin ATX connector is 300mm (11.8") in length, which I'm not sure if that is long enough or not? Either way, just thought I would mention this one if anyone else has been looking around. I'm considering ordering one to see if it will work. There is also an SX500-G and SX600-G. The 500 has 3 4-pin connectors as well, but strangely the 600 does not. I'm also trying to figure out if any of the cables from CableMod will work with these.READYNAS RN10400 Dead line of blue squares
Hi everyone. Our ReadyNas Rn10400 seems to be dead? When plugged into power (we have tried multiple outlets) all we can get is a line of blue squares on the display. Pushing the power button does nothing, pushing and holding the power button does nothing. We have had no power outages or any issues like that as far as we are aware. We have tried to open the boot menu by unplugging the unit, holding the reset button in and pluggin it back in, and we still only get the blue squares on the screen. We can not hear any noise from the system at all. We have tried turning the unit on without any drives in it and we get the same issue. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be going on please? Thanks for your time.ReadyNas and Asus RT-AT3200 Router
My old router just died, and I bought a Asus RT-AC3200 router and updated it to latest firmware. I hooked up my Netgear ReadyNas Duo to the new routers lan port and powered it on. The Netgear ReadyNas Duo is set up to automatically recieve ip adress through DHCP from the router, but it does not show up as a detected unit in the Asus RT-AC3200 admin page, and I am not able to detect it on network or by RaidAr program? I thought this router provided easy "plug and play" features, or Is it just not possible to connect a ReadyNas Duo to this router ? Are there any settings in the Asus router I will have to do ? I have no problem accessing the ReadyNas Duo when connecting directly to a computer, restarting it, and then use the default login ip 192.168.168.168/admin set by ReadyNas when not recieving automatically ip by DHCP I'm a bit stuck here and hope someone can help. Is there anywhere i can purchase a replacement motherboard for the readynas 2100 v1? I have two which are completely bricked and i was wondeirng if there is a known place i can buy a replacement. Any numbers on the board return nothing on google/ebay etc. All i can see is they are made by foxconn (no surprise there!). If there is a place, can the v2 motherboard be installed instead of the v1 board so i can run OS6 on it? Just for background, they were attempted to be upgraded to OS6 by a colleague of mine before realising these are 32bit and cannot take the upgrade. No data was lost as these are just spares in the office however we would like them up and running again now. RAIDar does not detect the device with or without disks in it. USB boot does not work, USB light does not come on no matter which port is used. Tried multiple USB devices formatted every which way possible and still no USB light. Factory reset does not work, after booting with reset pin in and choosing HDD LED number 2 for factory reset then hitting reset button again, i can hear it boot but nothing happens even if i leave it for hours. RAIDar will not pick it up even if i change my device to the same subnet as the NAS used to be on and even if i try change it to the same as the NAS default IP. Took motherboard battery out as a last resort to see if it would reset anything, but no luck. Due to the above, my only option is buy a new NAS or find a replacement motherboard. NETGEAR say they do not have spare motherboards for the NAS devices. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!Readynas Ultra 4
My RNDU4000 has died. Lightning strike next to the house and a power surge took out a handful of items. I've tried a new ATX PSU modified properly to work and it does nothing, no lights. Assuming the disks are still good (haven't hooked them up to anything, but removed and labeled them 1-4) What's the easiest method of getting to the data on the four disk array? Is there a newer model that I can stick these disks in to at least read the array? If so what is the ideal model to look for? I'm more than likely going to just buy a new SAN of some kind, and copy the data over to it - so it will be a temporary solution. Would the RND4000-200NAS work?? Is hooking the 4 disks to a Linux machine worth trying? Will it read the data fast enough to copy them off over the network? The data isn't super important, all large ripped Blurays and DVD's that I can redo but would love to get to it. Thanks for any advice!SolvedDual LAN connectivity
I am looking into getting the ReadyNAS 422 to store media files and some documents. My issue is I have 2 computers that are on LAN 1 that has internet and 2 devices that are on LAN 2 that can not have internet. I understand aggregation but can I use one port for LAN1 and the other for LAN2? Also Is there a way to access files then through windows explorer just like if I had an 2nd hard drive installed?SolvedJBOD discs disappear and reappear on each boot - ReadyNASRND2000v2 (2 discs)
Hello, I have a ReadyNASRND2000v2 operating in JBOD mode with two 4TB discs. Disc 1 is named C, Disc 2 is named D. Some time ago, (Use the uploaded JPEG for reference) when the NAS was idling Sun Jun 24 12:12:59 EDT 2018 (I was out of town) the Disc 2 just decided to randomly go offline by Disk Removal Detected. You can see in the logs that this behaviour went on for a few times until it stopped at 12:50. Fri Jul 13 05:24:46 EDT I power up the NAS and realise that something is weird with my Disc 2 (this is the first time I notice something is wrong) My computer maps dont connect to PaV or Phone. More recently, I power up the NAS again after testing Disc 2 in a caddy with free recovery software and can see that all my files are still there, so I can only assume that table header info has disappeared. I was able to check off the data on Disc 2 to make sure I wasnt needing any of the data (which I wasn't as this data was just a 2nd backup) During all this Disc 1 is operating totally fine. Last night, I decide to erase Disc 2 and start it fresh. Once thats done, I then set about backing up Disc 1. I have two items I want to backup (as I dont have confirmed copies of this data elsewhere). A share called "CCTV" and a personal folder called "Jonny". The "Jonny" folder I backup via my PC to an external disc connected to my PC and that happened during the night (last night) and completed successfully (it only took 2.5hrs to complete) so effectively finished at about 3AM. I waken up this morning and now fine my CCTV share gone...with more digging around I find that the same behaviour has happened to Disc 1 that happened previously with Disc 2. Sun Oct 14 06:27:09 CEST (when I am still asleep) Disc 1 was removed and yes, history repeats itself. Again, I just looked at this disc in an external caddy and can see that the data is still there, but the NAS has lost its ability to read the disc...table header info??? I'm at a complete loss for words with this NAS. This is the 2nd ReadyNAS I bought (which was the upgrade from the first edition ReadyNASRND2000 I had. I have already had a massive data loss with a HDD in this NAS before. My intention last night was to back up all the data as I felt something was totally wrong with the NAS. Has anyone any idea what the flip is going on? Thanks in advance!Resync not starting after disk replacement
Had disk 4 failure Monday evening. Went to replace it today and when removing the failed disk there was no notice of disk removed. Replaced with new disk of same specs and no ntoification of disk replacement nor any indication of disk resync process begining. Can this unit be rebooted with out problems to see if the resync starts and/or should all information be backed up off unit first?Solved
