Trouble adding my nas network drive to Plex library
Router Firmware: V1.0.2.32 Nas: Synology DS1815+ (Named Vault) I've been following this guide https://kb.netgear.com/000038628/How-do-I-use-my-R9000-Nighthawk-X10-to-add-a-network-drive-to-my-Plex-media-library and when I get to step 9 "The network drive is added and you are redirected back to the main Plex Media Server page." I am not redirected back to that page, instead I am returned to the same page: However the connection I just added does appear in Plex, but no media is ever found. Here is an example of this: The username and password is that of my nas, using any other returns an error. The dvds folder is on the root of one of my nas drives. The IP of the nas is correct. I click apply, it says please wait a moment, then I am returned to the same page, however 'DVDconnection' is now found in the Plex add media section. So I go into plex, add library, add movies, add folder, browser for media folder, choose DVDconnection (it does not show any subfolders even though they do exist) then add library and get "there are no items in this library" after scanning for a second. I also created a connection called fakefolder for a folder that doesn't exist on the nas and I get the same result. Cannot edit or delete a drive connection from the router settings, my added drive connections displayed in the image above are not seen in the router settings: I already have Plex running on my nas before buying the router so I know the media is compatible. Here is a screenshot of it from the plex on my nas: I can access the files from windows explorer. Permissions for DVDs File services: Bought this router especailly for plex because the nas can't transcode very well. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Hello, I've discovered PlexPy (https://github.com/drzoidberg33/plexpy) to follow the usage of my Plex Server, I managed to install it following the instructions on the GitHub installation page, but I can't make it to start automatically on Startup with my ReadyNAS. PLEX is failing to initialize with error 22002010000 on latest version on ReadyNas 516
Any idea what might cause this? Corrupt config? I noticed the app wasn't started and attempting to start it resulted in failing to initialize 22002010000 error code. I upgrade to latest version and still same result. Reboot of the NAS resulted in the same. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, RobSolvedPlex Broken after upgrade to 6.7.3

I have my R9000 up and running. Powerful Router. Blasts the entire house ~2000sq 2flrs with fast AC. I was running Plex on a VM host in my basement. Plex in Router is great and very responsive, but horribly out of date. v1.1 i think and current is v1.3 Plex says Netgear is responsible for updates. Netgear support doesnt know. The option to manually update is removed. Plus the server kind of goes unresponsive every now and then and jsut doesnt show up. Maybe a version bug. In any event is anyone aware of a method to update the Plex version? Is anyone aware of a method by which the server can be reboot through CLI when otherwise unresponsive? I will probably return it if I cannot get these little things solved. At least in VM i had control of the Server. However, when trying to install the Plex Server binaries from the Plex download site, I now get a 'cannot install' error: System: Cannot install application plexmediaserver-ros6-binaries_1.5.5.3634-995f1dead_armel.deb. Worth noting that I tried to use apt-get -f install - but I'm getting error below. root@ReadyNAS:~# apt-get -f install Reading package lists... This issue has been going on for quite a while now, through multiple OS updates. Currently running ReadyNAS OS 6.7.4. I can't install or uninstall any new apps via the admin console. It seems to download them just fine, but when it's working through the actual installation process it tells me it's unable to install or uninstall the package. Mainly, I'm trying to update Plex. Even downloading from the Plex website and uploading via admin console, it says it can't install the package. I've tried restarting, I've tried waiting for the next OS upgrade... nothing. I've already backed up my database files with WInSCP (backed up my couchpotato settings as well, as that's been inoperable for a while) and if all else fails I'll manually install via command line... but I'd REALLY like to fix it the right way.9.4KViews0likes20CommentsPlex and my readynas 102 and access
I did install plex server in my ready nas but for some reason when I'm trying to access it from my nvidia shield TV tells my that I have to update the software and I have the latest software iny ready nas, don't k know what to do next... Now my other question is this, yesterday my modem atoped working and for some odd reason I couldn't access my nas from my laptop, do I need internet to access my nas? I tough is a storage unit I can access thru my network without needing internet, maybe I'm doing something completely wrong here.. Hello. I have successfully set up a new R9000 router. I am unable to connect a shared network drive for use in Plex. I am able to successfully connect a shared drive located on a PC running Win7, but I am unable to attach a shared drive on a Mac running High Sierra. The Genie interface does not give me a specific error. It just loads a new blank page for entry of a network drive. There is no specific info in the log, just that the drive failed to mount. I found one similar thread here, but there was no solution there. I can’t be the only one trying to attach a Mac drive. I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Launching Plex app on RN212 evokes ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
I'm running the Plex app (1.0.0.2261) on my RN212 (firmware 6.5.1) and it's working fine over my network - finds and catalogs new files as I add them to Library folders etc... However - I can't access the Plex admin panel itself. I'm used to going in to RN212 Admin panel via Chrome (http://192.168.1.101/admin/) where I can see the Plex App icon under the Apps section on my System tab, and as an Installed App on the Apps tab. However in both instances... when I click the PLEX icon... instead of opening the Plex admin page, I am directed to http://192.168.1.101:32400/web where I get this error: The 192.168.1.101 page isn’t working 192.168.1.101 didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE Followed by a Reload button. Same behavior in Firefox. Suggestions apprreciated - thanks in advance.Solved7.6KViews0likes10Comments
