ReadyNAS Add-ons for Legacy ReadyNAS
1113 TopicsNew Transmission 2.84 add-on for ReadyNAS Duo/NV+ (sparc)
This is a newly compiled version for the Duo straight from source. It has been configured with "--disable-nls --enable-lightweight --enable-utp" and the default web interface port of 9091. If it doesn't work after installation, try rebooting. Not sure if it can be install over the top of super-poussin's version, but if you are planning on uninstalling super-poussin's version then remember to save the torrent files somewhere else first. To quote myself: tarobun wrote: It looks like upgrading from Transmission 2.42 to this Transmission add-on is a no-no. Sounds like there are conflicting configuration that screws up both installs. :( (eg. /c/addons-config) It seems the best approach is to fully uninstall the old, delete the config directory, and then install this add-on. Once you're on this add-on, updating is straightforward and can be done over the existing version. Just a fyi - the default download dir is /var/local/Downloads and there is no username and password with this add-on. If you are prompted for them then the old version was not fully uninstalled. Thanks to super-poussin for the original Transmission add-ons. Enjoy! Transmission 1.73 had been working fine (on Safari browser 4.0.3 and Firefox) until today when I keep on getting ""Connection Failed" Could not connect to server. You may need to reload the page to reconnect." When I clicked on details it shows Server not responding. No matter how many times I've tried to refresh, reboot (Duo), reset router still get the same message. I've noticed that Transmission is still working in a background (router activity light and act light on Duo brink rapidly). I just update to Transmission 1.73 and same thing still happens. I have no problem accessing to Frontview which has the same IP address. Please help. Thanks.[SOLVED] NTP-Server & Firewall port settings:
I need a little help with this one please? I've been using the NTP-Server add-on on my Duo v.1. for many months now. It serves my Linux boxes beautifully. Anyway, the problem(?): I just modified the IPTables firewall on a Linux box using gufw, a GUI front end for ufw, which is to the best of my understanding a simplified command line front end for IPTables. After rebooting, everything works very fine, see below (the following was taken immediately after the machine booted): [handy@jarmano ~]$ time Local time: Tue 2013-03-05 16:28:04 EST Universal time: Tue 2013-03-05 05:28:04 UTC RTC time: Tue 2013-03-05 05:28:04 Timezone: Australia/Sydney (EST, +1100) NTP enabled: yes NTP synchronized: yes RTC in local TZ: no DST active: yes Last DST change: DST began at Sun 2012-10-07 01:59:59 EST Sun 2012-10-07 03:00:00 EST Next DST change: DST ends (the clock jumps one hour backwards) at Sun 2013-04-07 02:59:59 EST Sun 2013-04-07 02:00:00 EST remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter ============================================================================== 192.168.1.15 .XFAC. 16 u - 128 0 0.000 0.000 0.000 [handy@jarmano ~]$ But the time server stalls my machine for a 90 seconds, before moving on when booting? Do I have to enable port 123? Do I need to do more than enabling port 123 in the firewall? Thank you for your time, & please excuse me for invading it?readynas RND2000 duo V2 - Plex install
Hi Everyone, Newbie question so i apologise in advance if this has been covered already. I Recently got a 2nd hand ReadyNas DUO V2 for a good price, Ive installed a 2TB Nas drive and its ready to go. Currently running RAIDiator 5.3.13 and I can access the Dashboard if that helps? I have tried to find the Plex App for my version but im hitting a brick wall everytime, the APP tab doesn't allow me to search for the App, I can browse for a downloaded File (which i thought was the correct version) - however they just come up with the Bad Architecture message. Having done a fair amount of research i have come the conclusion that the Plex app i have downloaded is only for the OS6 versions. Can anyone give me some advice please as to how i can install Plex. I have searched for the version created by "whocares" but cant find it to download. Am i missing something obvious? Ive read Posts in forums saying that my NAS can run Plex. I dont need transcoding as thats already been done in preperation. Dont really want to buy another NAS as this was a little project on the cheap. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Shep. P.S - if i dont reply it will be because im at work catching baddies ;)22KViews0likes27CommentsHow to Enable SMB2 on ReadyNAS Duo running RAIDiator 4.1.16
Hello, I have an older ReadyNAS Duo device that I'm trying to setup using my Windows10 system and I'm having trouble mapping the share because the NAS is trying to run SMB1, but my Windows system requires SMB2 or later. I've upgraded to the latest firmware and see other posts that it the NAS does support later SMB versions, but can't see how to enable it. I'd prefer not to enable SMB1 on my Windows machine if possible. Can anyone provide guidance?PhpMyAdmin & MysqlOn Problems
Hi all :D This is my first post here so go easy with me ... OK I've recently bought a second hand ReadyNAS Duo V1 and am trying to get it up & running as a web server to use wordpress on. I have read plenty of info on the subject and followed a couple of guides to the best of my ability but have come across the problem of not being able to log into PhpMyAdmin due to the Username & Password that is highly discussed elsewhere on the web. Now my question is, when it says 'Edit the file config.inc.php' where exactly am I supposed to be looking for this file to edit? I have searched high & low for an answer to this but to no avail. I'm along the lines of thinking that it maybe something to do in Front View under the MysqlOn option which brings me to my second question, although its more of a query. In Front View MysqlOn is on and up & running but the inner box shows no content at all, is this correct? Its just that the PHP5 & PHPMyAdmin have content in their inner boxes but the MysqlOn is completely blank. This I found to be a little odd. MysqlOn V.1.0 PHP5 V.5.3.28-sparc-4.5.5 PHPMyAdmin V.2.5 RAIDiator V.4.1.13 [1.00a043] RAIDar V.4.3.8 ( 4.3.8 ) Mac OS X 10.4.9 Oh, and I also d/l a copy of iTerm if that helps! Many thanks in advance :)ReadyNAS Duo (Sparc) needs SMBv2 or higher
Hi I have the ReadyNAS Duo V1 (Sparc). Since the Microsoft 2017 Fall Creator's Update for Win10, SMBv1 is obsolete and I can't see it anymore on my main Windows PC (although I can on a second, older machine). It needs to support SMBv2 or v3. I read that this can easily be done by adding the line: server min protocol = SMB3 to the end of /etc/frontview/samba/smb.conf.overrides (according to https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/SMB-1-0-Given-Wanna-Cry/td-p/1283738). However, I have absolutely no idea how to do this. I installed a 'shell' from here (https://kb.netgear.com/24546/Add-ons-for-RAIDiator-4-1-3-Sparc) but there are no instructions on how to access it, or if I did, how to find, edit and save the above mentioned document. I know nothing about Linux I should add at this point, but I'm game for trying if I had the instructions. The last point of note is that the last supported version of Radiator is 4.1.16, so I'm not sure if the version of "samba" that comes with it would support the suggested edit of "server min protocol = SMB3" or even SMB2. Is there a patient knowledgeable person out there who can tell me if I can make my old NAS continue to talk to Windows 10, and how I achieve this seemingly essential small edit? Thank you so much!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- ReadyNAS Duo V1 (Sparc). Radiator 4.1.16.NETGEAR Launches $1,000,000 App Contest
