HI, I'm hoping that somebody can kindly help: Netgear AC1750 and Tivo Roamio (no internet/trouble with router) ================================================== TIVO CONNECTS TO MOCA BUT NOT ROUTER/INTERNET ============================================= For no apparent reason, our TiVo Roamio Plus (which has been activly working on our home network, no longer connects to the internet. Under the Tivo setting, I get an IP address but no DNS assignment when trying to connect TiVo to the network. Tivo error messages says "trouble with router", "no internet connection", "TCP failure requires the following ports to be opened": TCP port 37, 80, 7288, 7287, 8080, 8081, and 5223. Cox says 80 is blocked by them for security, but that's only for incomming and all other ports should be OK to open. So far I have tried talking to TiVo, Cox and NetGear support, but none can help. I recently purchased a AC1200 WiFi USB Adapter Model No. A6210 from Target in Memphis, TN. Shortly after installing this product I ran a scan on my desktop using HitmanPro 3.8.0. The scan indicated that my computer had a Trojan that originated from Netgear A6210. The HitmanPro removed the Trojan, and I uninstalled the A6210 from my PC. After it was uninstalled, I reinstalled the A6210. After the reinstallation I ran another scan with HitmanPro and it again indicated that my PC had a Trojan that originated from the A6210. I again uninstalled the A6210 from my computer. I then ran another scan, just to be safe, and the scan indicated no Trojan. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you handle it? Should I contact Target to see if I can get a refund, or Netgear to see what they will do? Thank you for your help.1.8KViews0likes1CommentA7000/Nighthawk AC1900 reception speed 54Mbps only

Hello - I know this is a silly question however I am looking to see if anyone has any documentation.... For the A6100 wireless dongle, I have a customer that is insistent that if the dongle gets stolen, a malicious actor can hack into and discover the password for their WAP2 SSID. This connection is using CCMP and the encryption key is being stored on the PC itself, however I am looking for any supporting documentation that no confidential information is ever stored on the dongle itself (I believe at the data link layer of the OSI). Is anyone aware of any supporting documentation that I could provide the customer to ease their belief?1.3KViews0likes1CommentUSB wifi adapter connection issues
Installed my new N300 wifi USB adapter on my desktop, after I connected, it disconnected everything else in my house that was connected wirelessly and is asking for a password. It is not the password that I have for my wifi, I have tried that. It appears to be a password for the adapter, which I have no idea how to find. In visiting my mom (she is 90 years old and in a veterans home) for Mothers Day, I discovered a NETGEAR WNDA3100 plugged into a USB port in the back of her desktop PC. Her Windows PC has perfectly functional wifi capability built in. Is it possible that someone has installed that to connect remotely to a router that is NOT a part of the Veterans Home Network? Can the adapter be used as a path "in to" her computer? I removed it as I could not understand why it would be there!Solved5.2KViews0likes2Comments
