I just purchased two AC1750 R6400 routers with the intent of using one as the primary or modem router connected directly to my modem and the second as a bridge. I configured the primary router and confirmed that I could wirelessly connect to its 5GHz channel and successfully access the internet via my laptop. Next, I disconnected the ethernet connection of the primary router to the modem and connected the bridge router to the modem so it could be configured. Following the directions in the user manual, I then proceeded to set up the second router by selecting the radio button to "Enable Bridge mode" at the ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Wireless Settings menu location. I clicked the "setup bridge mode wireless settings" and selected 5GHz as the network freqency, populated the SSID field and password with the 5GHz SSID name and password from the primary router, and selected the radio button for the proper "Security Option" on the bridge router to match that of the primary. I left the check boxes checked for both "Get IP Address Dynamically" and "Get DNS Server Address Dynamically" and hit "Apply." After the bridge router updated, I got a message stating, "Please change your computer's IP address manually if LAN IP subnet will be changed," and at the same time, the status light for the internet connection on the bridge router changed from white to red and I lost capability to access the internet. For troubleshooting, I've tried unplugging the power cord to both my cable modem and the bridge router for 5 minutes, but once powered back on, the internet status light is still red and there is no connectivity to the internet. I'm now stuck. I've followed the directions to the letter in the user manual on how to set up the secondary router as a bridge, but I haven't been able to get it to work. If anyone could help me complete a functional setup of my bridge router, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, JamesSolvedN300 can't find my 5G network
Hardware Version: WN3000RPv3 Firmware Version: V1.0.2.24 Howdy, My WiFi extender is only seeing 2G networks (including mine) when I go through a fresh setup via http://www.mywifiext.com/. But I'm trying to connect to my 5G network, like I do with several other devices. The setup process doesn't show any 5G networks. My router is broadcasting the 5G network name and has these settings: Mode: 802.11 n/ac Transmit Power: 100% Channel Selection: Automatic Channel: n/a Channel Bandwidth: 20/40/80(auto) Is this extender not 5G compatible? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!Solved39KViews0likes2CommentsInsight 4.0 is Here! Remote Management from Any Screen, Small or Large

Hi, I have a problem to open "Advanced Settings" in my R6400 Router, it's like this from beginning (I remember it worked once for me after some firmware update), when I click on this it showes totally nothing (basic works fine). I've tried to enter settings from many different devices (PC, laptops, phones etc.), factory reset, cookies cleaning and logging via different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge) also don't working. It's an big issue for me for example I can't turn off the lights from router which is really annoying and what is more annoying I can't swtich any advanced settings so basically I don't know how to solve this and I'm waiting for any magical advice.SolvedCase Studies: Real Small Business Using Insight Management #Webinar #Video

I just got a Nighthawk X6S AC4000 router to replace my aging Apple Airport Extreme network, Modem has been set correclty to bridge mode and the radio deactivated, and the Extreme has been our wifi router with some devices directly wired to it as well. I tried to replace the AE with the Nighthawk, but the router would not relay the internet signal. Devices coould connect to the Nighthawk via WiFi and I had one computer wired in with ethernet as well. No internet access either way. The internet light on the Nighhawk is white and stable, indicating successful internet connection, but it is not being passed on to any connected devices. I was able to directly plug a laptio into the modem and got internet instanly, so the modem is working fine. I was also able to reconnect the AE network and that router does fine. I tried rebooting both the rouer and the modem severla times in different order. Sam issue. Cannot figure out what the problem.Solved5.1KViews0likes3Comments
