10 Topics12.0.17.9 - Release notes
Hello, Does anyone know where I can find the release notes for firmware version 12.0.17.9 For some reason there are KBs out there with other versions but this one. I recently found (on a completely off topic article) someone posted a URL that appears to be where the actual release notes were (https://kb.netgear.com/000065245/M4300-Firmware-Version-12-0-17-9?_ga=2.116205830.1824562860.1690820292-940811563.1690820292) but the link is broken. Not sure where else to look. Thanks,1.2KViews0likes4CommentsRouting one client device between VLans
Very new here so apologies first for my last post earlier today. Could not find it my last thread in order to include solution but I have solved my problem on upgrading firmware having read some other threads and guessed a bit and experimented a bit to get rid of earlier image file etc. Now up to date. My main question is how may I arrange that a particular device (a NAS on fixed IP on one subnet and vlan) may be accessed from another subnet on another vlan but otherwise be kept private. In other words I do not wish to open all traffice between the two vlans, only traffic to and from the NAS device.1KViews0likes1CommentWebinar - 9/21 11AM - M4300 Managed Switches - Building Leaf and Spine Networks

Hello everyone, I am a new comer, and this is my first time to post. I don't really understand the rules to rank up and the privilege will be unlocked in every level of user rank in the community. May anyone tells me the details of that?:smileyhappy: Thanks for the help!Solved4.9KViews0likes5CommentsFrom the NETGEAR Blog – 10 Years in Network Evolution
Xavier Lleixa Rillo – NETGEAR Product Line Manager for Switches posted a thoughtful blog with an interesting anecdote regarding how quickly the transition from Fast Ethernet to Gigabit was. The networked world continues to change and now 10-Gigabit is king. Read the NETGEAR blog: 10 Years in Network Evolution Do you have a favorite upgrade story? Let us know in the comments below. I am trying to wrap my head around a concept involving subnet based VLANs and how ARPs for those IP subnets are classified into the correct VLAN. So for example let's say I have untagged traffic ingressing a switch port and that port classifies traffic to VLAN 10 based on a subnet and say that would be 100.0.10.X. So all traffic destined for 100.0.10.X is tagged VLAN 10. Here's my question: How are the ARPs for subnet 100.0.10.X classified to VLAN 10? Are they? Wouldn't I have a seperate rule for tagging ARPs that 'ARP' for that subnet (i.e., VLAN 10)? I could see numerous ARPs supporting numerous subnets ingressing over a single port, so then how does a switch ensure ARPs are classified into their VLAN? With subnet-based VLANs, are ARPs for those subnets classified to those subnet-based VLANs as well? Thanks4.4KViews0likes3CommentsCan't print after installing ProSafe 16-Port Switch
I installed a new switch yesterday. All my peripherals work fine except the Fiery RIP. I can't ping it or print to it. I have Command Central and that won't link either. As far as I know, the switch didn't come with any instructions to install software. What should I do before reinstalling the old switch? Thanks.8.8KViews0likes13Comments
