My router's Readyshare has suddenly stopped working. When I try to access it, it prompts for credentials which it should not be doing. I reset it to factory and it still isn't working. Firmware Version V1.0.11.112_2.0.77 Windows 11 - version 24H2 I see that a Windows update installed on 12/16. Perhaps there is a conflict here? Ideas or am I just SOL on using this ever again?SolvedWhat happened to USB Control Center v1.8?
I have a computer running Netgear USB Control Center/ReadyShare Printer version 1.8, with driver version 1.83.35. The software works great to connect to my router's USB printer. The only version of USB Control Center that I have been able to find on Netgear's website is version 1.35. That 1.35 version works, but not as well as version 1.8. What happened to version 1.8? Is it still available somewhere?748Views0likes2CommentsHow to Increase Routeur Wifi R6020 signals?
What are effective methods to significantly enhance the Wi-Fi signal strength of the Routeur Wifi R6020 router? I'm looking for practical solutions to improve coverage and reliability throughout my home or office space. Are there specific settings adjustments, external antennas, or Wi-Fi extenders recommended for maximizing performance? Insights from those who have successfully boosted their Wi-Fi signals with the Routeur Wifi R6020 would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, are there specialized tools or resources available on platforms like swiftstart amazon agency that could assist in optimizing Wi-Fi performance for this router model?creating offline mesh network, without internet , what model i should use? most needs internet

Hello, I have a Nighthawk R7000 rooter with a default OS (which I can't change). I have for several years activated the vpn service with open vpn which works very well. However, I'd like to increase security to connect to my rooter (and therefore to the connected nas server): set up a login and password connection. Is there a (simple) solution for this type of connection via open vpn? Is it possible to give rights to certain identifiers or remove them? I'd like to stop distributing the identification key, but to grant connection rights. Thank you in advance for your reply. My internet has been dropping, Xfinity came out and their service is working. Xfinity mentioned that the NightHawk AX6 model CAX30s has issues and they were told to direct customers to Netgear. I called Netgear they agreed the issue was their product and they could fix it for me for a $100 service contract that would cover me for 1 year. Basically they were going to wipe out the modem and reset and upgrade it. I’ve only had this modem router for 1-1/2 years and I’ve had a lot of issues with it reconnecting properly after power outages. I can’t believe Netgear won’t reset it for free what a total disappointment. I don’t feel comfortable paying $100 when it’s not something I did or an out dated unit. I’m going to try to reboot it myself. Thoughts or advice?3.2KViews0likes5CommentsNETGEAR D6300: alimentazione prese usb

Hi all, I just made this account so that I could post an issue and it's fix. I have the Nighthawk X4 AC2350 (R7500v2) and for a while now the media hard drive I have connected via USB using ReadySHARE just vanishes from the media server list all my home devices (TV, Xbox, Playstation, Phone etc...) about 5 to 15 minutes after setting it up or rebooting to get it to work. So basically I connect a hard drive, set it all up via ReadySHARE and it's there, visible on all devices for a VERY short amount of time. Then it vanishes, I can't find it on any device. I can however connect to the shared folders on it with my PC. It's had me stumped for ages. So much so I had just completely stopped using it for the last year. But I got a new hard drive and wanted to start using it again so I spent a long while trying to figure it out. I checked a lot of pages on here and noticed a lot of people had a similar, if not the exact same issue. After a lot of messing around I found a fix that seems to be working perfectly. I downgraded my firmware back to R7500v2 v1.0.3.40 (from 2019) and amazingly this fixed the issue. ReadySHARE is working perfectly again, So somewhere along the way Netgear basically broke it via one of the firmware updates (the latest version being: R7500v2 v1.0.3.50 Hot Fix). So this is a PSA; if you have this issue, downgrade your firmware to an earlier version from here: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7500v2#download (again R7500v2 v1.0.3.40 being the version that worked for me). If you have a different router and have this issue it might be an idea to try find an earlier firmware for your router too, something from around 2019. If anyone from Netgear reads this please FIX THIS ISSUE IN A NEW FIRMWARE UPDATE! Hope this helps someone. Cheers! 🤘3KViews0likes9CommentsNetgear C7000v2 USB Not showing NAS (Network Attached Storage)
I have a c7000v2 Netgear router/modem. I am trying to install a NAS to the USB port located at the top of the router. I have a 64 Gig Flash drive plugged in. When I log into the router, the Genie software runs. At the home tab the USB Icon in the middle of the second row shows a green READY notation. When I click on the USB icon/button it takes me to a second screen showing USB Storage (Basic Settings). Basic radio button is pushed. Network/Device name is listed as \\readyshare. Available Network Folders has NO DEVICE LISTED. Buttons EDIT and Safely Remove USB Device are AVAILABLE. (When no Flash drive in USB Port these buttons are not available.) Under the Advanced Tab/Advanced Setup/USB Settings I have Enable any USB Device connected to the USB port YES. When I click on Approved Devices I see my USB Drive name listed under Available Devices Device Name Is Generic USB Storage and space is 60 gig. I selected it with the radio button and added it to the Approved Devices List. The Allow Only Approved Devices check box IS NOT CHECKED. These Setting have been saved. After all of this and pressing Refresh a couple of times after a few minutes, the Basic Settings still DOES NOT LIST MY DEVICE. I cannot find this device on my network although with windows I can see \\readyshare available under NETWORKS. However clicking on it shows nothing and I cannot copy anything to it. The Flash drive is formatted NTFS and there are a couple of folders created at the root level. Any help getting my flash drive to show up in the USB Basic settings I feel would correct the problem but I cannot figure out what else to do. Any help would be GREATLY APPREIATED.
