I have a computer running Netgear USB Control Center/ReadyShare Printer version 1.8, with driver version 1.83.35. The software works great to connect to my router's USB printer. The only version of USB Control Center that I have been able to find on Netgear's website is version 1.35. That 1.35 version works, but not as well as version 1.8. What happened to version 1.8? Is it still available somewhere?748Views0likes2CommentsUSB Wifi Adaptor A6210 connection issues
I purchased this adaptor on Oct. 2, 2021 and didn't really have any issues with it. After a little while I noticed whenever I booted my pc, it would keep connecting and disconnecting from my school's wifi. As well, this would happen during my use with the computer and when I clicked the internet symbol on the bottom right of my screen, it would switch from showing all the available networks to none. As I began to explore, sometimes when the adaptor wouldn't show available networks at all, I would look in my windows settings under the "Bluetooth & other devices" tab and it would show it as connected but say the setup was incomplete and to please connect to the internet. If I unplugged and plugged it back in it would work but still connect and disconnect from networks for at least a minute before holding a connection. As well, I would keep hearing the windows connection and disconnection sound and looked at the same tab of my windows settings and see that the message under the adaptor would switch back and forth with every connection sound between "Connecred to usb3.0" and "Device can perform faster when connected to usb3.0" which is surprising and makes no sense. My motherboard is an Asus STRIX B-350-F Gaming motherboard. On the back panel the motherboard has 2x USB 3.1 Gen 2 port(s), 4x USB 3.1 Gen 1 port(s), and 2 x USB 2.0 port(s). I had it plugged the usb 3.1 gen ports. I did at one point switch it to the front panel of my tower that had a usb 3.0 port and it rapidly switched between "connected to usb 3.0" and "Device can perform faster when connected to usb3.0" every second if not faster. I now have to let me pc sit for 5 minutes after I boot it up to let it run its course of connecting and disconnecting to networks and then let it get a stable connection, if it doesnt give me a message saving driver error. When I am connected and observe my wifi tab under performance in task manager, there are spikes where no data is sent or received for 5-10 seconds and then it resumes for a little bit, all while saying I am connected to internet. The best solution I have found for this, is to have a Twitch stream open and the connection always has a constant feed of sending and receiving data in the wifi tab of task manager. So far, what I have done to try and help: 1. Gone to device manager, clicked on the adaptor under "Network Adaptors" and turned off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" under "Power Management." 2. Repeated this for my USB ports in device manager 3. Changed "Max USB Speed" to USB 3.0 and USB Auto and changed "Channel; Mode" to "2.4G + 5G" and "5G Only." 4. Plugged the adaptor into different USB ports. None of these have produced any notable results. I wanted to submit a ticket but my support expired a couple months ago. I'm done trying my own solutions and need help. My specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor 3.40 GHz RAM: 32gb at 2400mhz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Motherboard: ASUS STRIX B350-F GAMING (motherboard doesn't have most recent bios update)3.4KViews0likes7CommentsThought here would be the best place to leave a review 5 stars/5 stars
Works really well on my computer with no problem connecting with WPS when everything else I tried doesn't work. Couldn't be happier since now there's not a blue cable running through the hallway (Router is in my sisters room which is across the hallway from my room). Also $30!?!?!? Way too cheap for this quality. My internet working better than it ever has on any device in the house with great ping on Minecraft Fortnite Roblox 2k etc. Netgear, great product. (I'm using the A6100)1.4KViews0likes2CommentsRandom Disconnects and internet loss
I have been having issues with my A6210 USB adapter. When I start the computer it will connect and disconnect about 2-4 times before the connection is stable. After that, if I am playing an online game or even downloading/streaming for more than 30-45 minutes I lose connection to the internet. Sometimes the adapter resets itself and at other times it just displays that there is no internet connection even though all other devices on the network are working fine. I am using the standalone V1.0.0.39 drivers and have also used the mediatek drivers that I found in other threads around this forum. I just did a fresh install of Windows as well and a mobo/cpu update. This issue is persistent with this USB adapter. Are there any known fixes out there? Or am I out of luck and should just order a better adapter? Also if there is any other info I need to provide in order to get better support please let me know. I really want to get this problem fixed.3.4KViews0likes6CommentsDoes netgear have escalation for RMA, been trying to get my replacement after 2 months
One of my last attempts at trying to get my adapter replacement after sending it in over a month ago. I was given an RMA number and sent my return to: NETGEAR Returns 3605 Knight Road, Suite 101 Memphis Tennessee (TN), 38118 I used tracking and it was marked as received (also took pictures with the tracking number before I shipped it out). I waited about two weeks after it was tracked as received to call in since I still didn't get any update. After an hour of hold I was told they would need to contact their warehouse since they are transitioning their rma system. A week later with no reply I called in again and they said the last person probably forgot to send in the request. Call in again and they said they spoke with a supervisor and I should get it in 3 days or so. Now about 5 weeks later they said they never recieved the device in the first place. Wanted to see if there was any email or escalation for me to upload the evidence of shipment. Either way the hold time is atrotious at about 1 hour per call. Thanks in advance!1.4KViews0likes1CommentA6210 to build a NAS interface

Can I move the AC1200 WiFi USB adapter between two computers until I get to a store and buy a second WiFi adapter? It is an hour drive one way, I work in the other direction, and there is just no time right now. My husband wants internet access TONIGHT and he gets too frustrated doing computer stuff himself. If I can, do I install it with the CD that came with it? And if so, will I have to install it again when I purchase a new WiFi adapter as long as it is the same model? If it is a different model, will it still work, or will I have to install with the new CD and WiFi adapter? (when I bought this adapter, it was the last one in stock, but it works great)Solved6.1KViews0likes3CommentsA6210 will not function in Hostednetwork mode
Hello, I've gone through the steps on this tutorial. I notice that there was another post Here that was regarding the same issue, however the issue seems to never have been resolved. I have no idea why a thread would be closed if an issue isn't resolved, but I am now running into the same issue.4.6KViews0likes2Comments
