What happened to USB Control Center v1.8?
I have a computer running Netgear USB Control Center/ReadyShare Printer version 1.8, with driver version 1.83.35. The software works great to connect to my router's USB printer. The only version of USB Control Center that I have been able to find on Netgear's website is version 1.35. That 1.35 version works, but not as well as version 1.8. What happened to version 1.8? My internet has been dropping, Xfinity came out and their service is working. Xfinity mentioned that the NightHawk AX6 model CAX30s has issues and they were told to direct customers to Netgear. I called Netgear they agreed the issue was their product and they could fix it for me for a $100 service contract that would cover me for 1 year. Basically they were going to wipe out the modem and reset and upgrade it. I’ve only had this modem router for 1-1/2 years and I’ve had a lot of issues with it reconnecting properly after power outages. I can’t believe Netgear won’t reset it for free what a total disappointment. I don’t feel comfortable paying $100 when it’s not something I did or an out dated unit. I’m going to try to reboot it myself. Thoughts or advice?

I don't know that I've ever been this angry with a consumer product. I used to be able to log in using 192.168.1.1 and then look at detailed info and make config changes Any attempt to do so now has me in an endless loop of having to enter the serial number and then fill in a new password and security questions. And then it just starts all over again. How does NetGear take the simplest of expected features and make it so exceedingly frustrating and broken? It is a requirement to log in to the router from time to time. I have reset the router, tried changing passwords etc. The router "works", but I'm having issues with Readyshare and the only way I know to address it is to login. Which used to work reliably. I know this is a known problem so where is Netgear support with the answers? I've seen references to clearing cache and trying alternate browsers so again, this is a known issue. I'm not sure i'm getting cache totally cleared, but downloading a brand new browser accomplished nothing I would like DETAILED instructions on how to fix this. And to fix it once and for all.
