Need new router 2.5 Gps on all ports
Does anyone know of a router that has 2.5 Gbs+ wan and lan ports for less than $300? VPN would be nice but not necessary. Does not have to be wireless either. Thank you very much! Could be a business or home router. For the life of me I don't understand why they are separate in sales and in forums since you could (and I have on many occasions) certainly buy a business router for home use. Hello, I have a prosafe gigabit 8 port firewall FVS318G, setup and working well with default settings. In my home network I have setup a PC running freenas. I have also setup a web (HTTP) address to takes me to my network. I have tried different settings and cannot seem to get part the firewall (I get the firewall sign in screen). Hello, I´ve configured a IPSEC VPN with UTM 50 and netgear ProSafe VPN Client. The VPN is ok and I can acces to all computers by using the IP Address but there are 2 server that I need access to them throught to their names. I´ve enabled netbios option but I can´t acces to these servers. Any idea? Regards
connecting windows 7 media center to a FVS318N
I am trying to connect my windows 7 media center computer as a client to my Prosafe router. My other router just died and I had this never opened router sitting around . Ive been trying to set the router as a L2TP server (my last router had PtPP) but I played with it for a while and it seems after googeling it many others have had issues also . is there anyone who has had success? Thank you kendq
BR500 Option 66 Support
Just replaced my FVS336Gv3 with a BR500 and since it seems that no one from Netgear responded to my review thread, I will take a stab on a new topic: Option 66 for VoIP phones. Does the BR500 support this? I ran a search through the PDF Manual but did not see anything on this. Since "upgrading" to the BR500 and replacing one of my GS110TP switches with the GC510PP, one of my Polycom VVX 1500 phones has not been syncing with my FreePBX. Side note: I just swapped the GC510PP over the weekend, it was having issues for a week and a half before.VPN Question
I’ve had the Netgear for quite a while and have used OpenVPN on it for years. I just got a couple of new computers in the office and when I tried to download and set up the VPN on them it wasn’t working. I normally have to relearn how to set it up each time I do it, but when I looked at this time it seems that OpenVPN is no longer free and that a minimum of 10 license has to be purchased to use it at all. Let me know if you think I’m missing something. I looked at Nord VPN which seems to be the top pick on most review sites, and sells one license at a time, but the router firmware has to be flashed to utilize it. What you guys think?
