Hi there, This is a continuation of the UTM abandonement thread: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Hardware-VPN-Firewalls-and/ProSecure-UTM9S/td-p/1028499 I am using a device from the same family (UTM50) and had to do a hard reset on the device today. Now nothing is working and our whole company is down. I am not able to extend trial licenses or do firmware updates. PLEASE HELP! We bought and a FVS318Gv2 firewall a while back, and just recently got around to setting it up. We didn't realize at the time that the client required licenses, and at some point the box and disk with licenses got lost. Is it possible to get a new set of licenses, or based on the serial number identify what the license numbers were? Essentially, we have installed our Netgear VPN Client Lite Software the maximum number of times allowed by the license - 5 We finally reached a point where we need to install it two more times. We realized that 3 of the previous installs are for laptops or pcs that are no longer being used, but there was no way to "undo" the use of the key. No where on the Netgear site or online, could I find a vendor for a new version of the VPN Client Lite Software or if there is a alternative product we can purchase with more installs / keys. The trick here being, that I am not familiar with how the PROsafe SRX5308 was configured and have been just copying the config file on my laptop to the other computers as needed. Hopefully that makes sense and wasn't too much of a tangent. TL/DR Anyone able to tell me if I can get my license reset? and if so, is there still a way to purchase additional license space for the future? or is there a better VPN software that will work with my existing netgear software? It's sort of a followup from https://community.netgear.com/t5/VPN-Firewalls/FSV318N-connection-drop-and-kernel-emergencies-and-errors-in-log/m-p/1408412 I have a FVS336Gv3 now with still the exact same errors in the log. When the connection drops the router is not responding to ping on 192.168.1.1 and the webinterface is not available. The ISP says their logs show no error, so the problem is isolated to the router... Can this be caused by old utp connected ip webcams or other network related devices? Like perhaps utp connected printers? If so, how to troubleshoot/debug this issue. In shopping for Model: SRX5308 on Amazon I came upon a Netgear.com link that opens a page stating Netgear will no longer offer VPN Firewall Devices nor support them after 2017. Hello I have just replaced my 500 SSD to a 1TB SSD. On boot Netgear VPN software says, it is not activated. When I try to activate it, I got an error as it is activated on an other pc, first I have to uninstall/deactivate it. Previously when I faced with such problem (reinstall or stolen laptop), I created a support ticket to delete the activation from the system. Now it is not possible, only community or KB search is possible, or I can call them on a paid phone number. It is ridiculous. I dont need support just someone who can delete the current activation. How can I manage such thing now and in the future? Hi All, I tried to buy a redundant SRX5308 VPN-Firewall. My usual swiss stores suddenly didn't sell it anymore, and also the german stores seem to stop selling them, just selling the remaining stock. On Netgear's website there is no successor of the device and no information about a possible production stop. Does anybody know whats going on?
