Wireless Access Points
5 TopicsWhere are the firmware updates?
I'm baffled. I get emails from Netgear announcing firmware updates: Email January 23rd Firmware Details: Model WAX630E Firmware Version: 12.5.0.14 Email January 23rd Firmware Details: Model WAX620 Firmware Version: 12.5.0.15 I manage these myself directly via IP, so I log into the AP and click the Check for Upgrade button. It tells me there's no new firmware. It shows I'm using V11.8.0.9. The product page for the 630E shows 11.8.0.9 is the latest: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/wax630e So what's going on here? Why am I getting emails announcing new firmware that Netgear doesn't offer for download and my AP can't see to grab?Solved101Views0likes1CommentResource validation error when attempting to sign in to Insight
I have been unable to sign in to the Insight for about 2 weeks now. When attempting to sign in with my username and password i get "Unable to sign in. Resource validation error" with a Try Again button. I used the Forgot Password link to successfully reset my password, and am able to log in to the website using these credentials. Also, if I enter credentials I know are incorrect I get the error stating "Check the user name and password." I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Insight App.Solved12KViews0likes12CommentsInsight Management App and Access Control
Hi, Not sure how many of you use Access Control Lists (Allow Mode) with your configurations. I have recently added three WAC 510 APs to my configuration. Prior to that I just used a Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 for all my Wifi needs. Being somewhat obsessive about things, I have been using Access Control for all of the devices that connect to my router. That ACL is still in effect now, even though I have all but one wireless devices now connected to the APs. Although I'm not sure why I'm so obsessive about this (another topic), I would like to transition my Access Control from the router to the APs. I am managing those APs using the Insight Management App. I haven't been able to find any way to batch input allowed MAC addresses for the APs. There was a way, although with some bugs, when I was managing the APs locally via a web browser. Is there a batch method, or do I have to painfully enter the MAC addresses one at a time for each AP via the app?2.6KViews0likes1CommentA Message to Insight 2.x customers from the NETGEAR Insight Team!
