Hello, all. A few months back I purchased a unlimited data plan with at&t along with this hotspot in order to game on the Xbox One with it. So, I get on Xbox to find that I have a Strict NAT. I know many here would automatically point me towards a beginners guide on port forwarding but, that's my problem. I did that. I port forwarded everything it asked me to, I tried it both with a static IP and without a static IP. I reset my Xbox time and time again along with clearing the MAC address (After every change to the settings I the modem I made, I reset my Xbox and made sure to unplug it for at least a minute and drain the power block). Hell, I even tried to enable DMZ, knowing that it was dangerous and it STILL didn't open my NAT. My model of nighthawk has UPnP, but that doesn't work either for some reason. In the network settings of the Xbox it says the following: IPv4 NAT Type: Strict UPnP not successful xbox.com/xboxone/UPnP All services are available. I went to the link provided here and tried their method to make UPnP work. It didn't. I attached a screenshot of my attwifimanager page show what I did to port forward (I blocked out my static IP because I didn't know if it would be safe to share here) I would be grateful to anyone who could give me a STEP BY STEP for this model/at&t solution. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong because I've been trying to fix this for months.XBOX One and network dropping
Hey so I just bought and Orbi (and a Velop, which is constant to overall too slow). The Orbi is much faster BUT I am having 2 issues... BTW, I am on the latest firmware and have 300 down and 20 up. 1) Xbox One (both original XB1 and the Xbox One X) - Wireless - even though it has 100% signal strength, will not get more than 40 mbps download - Wired - will hit the max speeds available 2) Random system drop outs that effect wired and wireless. I go from 100% perfect signal to 0 in an instant. This shuts off the wireless and the wired model. My son was playing Xbox, while wired since the wireless kept disconnecting, and it still booted him from the game saying he lost his network connection. I noticed that if I activate beamforming or the MU-MIMO (or whatever it is) that both of those majorly slow down the network and I have to turn them off... (isn't that stuff supposed to make it faster?) IPV6 is activated also. I disabled Daisy Chain as well. How can I fix this? Going nuts here. I'd like to keep the faster system but will have to opt for the slower Linksys model because it's more consistent unless somebody can help me.!!! Advice on getting open nat types, Xbox ones !!!

Just bought the r6700 and can not cast to my xbox one anymore. Im sure its a streaming function in the router but I cannot find it. I tried with QoS enabled and Disabled, but neither worked. I would like to play my movies from my windows 10 PC to my xbox one like I use to.Solved6.7KViews0likes3Commentsconnecting 2 xbox one consoles in the same orbi network
Orbi network works OK when I have one Xbox One connected to the wifi network. However when a second Xbox One connects to the same network one of them has issues to connect or disconnects frequently. Is there any special setting I need to do to avoid this?Red Light Flashes - XBox not working
I have been using a several Netgear Powerline PL 1200 adapters on Verizon FIOS, and they worked fine (Plug n Play). Since switching to Cox on Monday, third light flashes red. My XBox gets 30 MB down load and 24 MB up with some packets lost and latency of around 115. On Verizon I was getting 70 Mbps download and 50Mb upload with no packets lost and minimal latency. Cox says since it's home network they can't help. My setup: ISP: Cox Communications with 200 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload Cable Modem: ARRIS Touchstone TG2472 4 Powerline PL1200 Adapters2.6KViews0likes1CommentR8500 MU MIMO supporti hav
I have a a R8500 nighthawk router. On the box, it says that mu mimo support will be released by 2015. As of August 2016, it still hasn't been supported by that router...But, I am not complaining. Here is a little background, sometimes I use a cheap (but usually good enough) internet connection with speeds of a little over 5 Mb download and 1Mb upload. I have two Xbox ones and a lot of digital games, both of which consistently need updates. I tend to use the xboxes on that connection about one night a week and I would always have to set aside time before I play to update the xboxes. When I bought the R8500, I was hoping that mu mimo would expedite the updating process. If my understanding of this feature is correct, I would be able to receive a file once and send them to my two devices. (Windows 10 has a feature where updates can be sent from one computer to another through a LAN, which is cool but irrelevant.) My questions are: one, will the mu mimo support on the Nighthawk R8500 speed up my system and game updates on my xbox ones (assuming the downloads are the same on each xbox) and two, when is the firmware with mu mimo support expected to be released by Netgear? Note to moderators or admins: I am pretty sure the lack of mu mimo firmware support issue on the R8500 has been brought up before. I just couldn't find it on this forum. So, if you want to move this post, you may do so by all means...Solved3.5KViews0likes3CommentsSlow download speeds Xbox one (WIRED)
Hi All, Since I got the Netgear R7000 Nighthawk my Xbox one has got terrible wired download speeds Most of the time it's between 6-10 mbit. When I check my connection (works just like speedtest.net) I get almost 100% of my ISP speed but when I go to download a game and check the speed, it gets nearly to 10 mbit. Occasionally when I restart the Xbox One or router the speed ups between 90-120 mbit but when I restart the Xbox One again it goes back to the very slow speeds. Port forwarding and IP reservation for Xbox one also didn't help. Nat type is open. I seriously don't know what to do. Please help. Thanks in advance.Solved58KViews0likes5Comments
