Hi, I have the following switches on a network, and they all suffer from this issue: 2x GS110T (v5.4.0.6 - latest?) 2x GS110TP (v5.4.2.30 - latest?) 1x GS110TP (v5.0.5.4) 1x GS110TP (v5.4.2.13) 1x GS110TP (v5.4.2.18) I am using them with a piece of software (Sennheiser WSM) which monitors Radio Mics over broadcast. As soon as this traffic starts the following occours: All switches either do not repond to most pings (70%+ loss), and when they do they have a very high reponse time (average 600ms+) the web interfaces on all switches fails to respond, and any open sessions stop functioning until the traffic is stopped. The traffic continues to pass, and reaches all the PC's ok, it just makes it impossible to monitor the switches, or configure them for anything else. My *guess* is that there is something in the packets that the switch cannot understand, and so the internal CPU is getting maxed out while trying to read it. I have tried with IGMP snooping on and off but there is no difference. I have saved a 25 second wire shark capture. http://jasmine.19inch.net/~james/wireshark/Wireshark-GS110TP-issues2-filtered.pcapng When it is started I am pinging one of the switches (PC IP: 192.168.99.41, Switch IP: 192.168.99.210), which continues all the way through. At 12 seconds I enabled the switch ports with the radio equipment attached. at 12.1 and 12.2 seconds the broadcast traffic from the equipment starts at 13.6 seconds there is the first ping request without a response. For the rest of the capture the ping responses are either very slow, or non-existant Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to stop the switches overloading, or at least minimize the effect? I regret buying this device. This ridiculous community will not even let me post a question and keep sending me to Arlo, whatever that is. How do I turn off the SSID broadcast? How do I DISABLE the SSID broadcast? Or if this router does not allow you to turn it off at least say so.SolvedLimit big amount of "multicast packets received" on single port
3 x STACKED GS748TS BOOT VERSION 1.0.2.0 SOFTWARE VERSION V 5.2.0.11 Server Ubuntu 12.04, Service CUPS 1.5.3 AP Ruckus 7372 - firmware 9.8.3.0.14 The AP stop propagate the printers over the IPP protocol, turn off and on the radio on ruckus and the IPP protocol return alive, this happens every 3 weeks! After some troubleshooting, the ruckus support pointed me to check the Multicast package and infact there are very high, I tried to set enable Storm Controll on the port with Broadcast Mode > BroadCast, Multicast and Broadcast Rate Threshold to "3500", I still have the same issue, any suggest ? thank you2.3KViews0likes1CommentWirelss Reapter support booadcast
Hi, I'm looking for a AP which can attached to existing LAN, and a repeater (or extender or bridge?) to connect to AP at about 50 meter distance. AP and repeater can directly facing each other, but has 2 wood door in between. There is a server connect existing network, and 2 laptop need to connect repeater, and it require server laptop using same subnet, and able to send broadcast message to each other. (so it should not involve NAT and Rounting), Did not find any topic relate to broadcast, so please advice which device i should buy. ThanksSolved3.5KViews0likes4Comments
