Hello, Management->IP->LAN->Genaral: DHCP disabled, static IP given. 802.1Q: Untagged VLAN [X] = 4000 (bit bucket) Management VLAN: 3000 Wireless->SSIDs 4 SSIDs, on VLANs 500,600,700,800, named the same as VLAN for testing purposes. All are set to "Addressing and Traffic: bridged" Defaults for everything else. VLAN 500 is the only problem. The differences in config are: Captive Portal: "Click Through" Wireless Client Isolation: Enabled On my router I see a DHCP request (tcpdump) coming from that VLAN, the MAC of which is the same as the main ethernet interface of the AP. Lease is provided by the router in the expected DHCP range. My question is - where is this DHCP request coming from and why? How do I disable it? Thanks, and let me know if you need any more information.30Views0likes2CommentsHow do you do DHCP reservation on a WN203?
I have just started configuring my new WN203 to replace the wireless part of an older Bell ConnectionHub. I've gotten past the initial stuff and assigned a DHCP address range for the new WN203 pool, but I can't see how to associate a specific address with a specifc wireless device. In case this isn't clear, let me offer an example. When a wireless camera is assigned an address from the AP, let's say its 192.168.2.220, I need it to always get that in future so I can map that address externally. In the ConnectionHub this is straight forward, there are two things to do. Assign 220 to the MAC address, and then put a new entry in a port forwarding table to say what external address corresponds. I'm thinking that the AP has a reservation capability I haven't found, but the port forwarding needs to occur at the router level.Solved4.5KViews0likes5Comments
