So here is my challenge: I have Belkin Router and a netgear wn3000rpv3 extender. the extnder is able to connect to the router fine through wifi and I am able to connect to my devices as well as long as I set it up as an extender. I have a 75mbps connection. by the time I get to my device via the extender.. the speeds are dropping to like 2 to 4 mbps. Hence I thought I will get a cable pulled from my router to my extender. which I did.. and here starts the challenge. My extender is not able to connect to the router as an access point. It just keeps saying " The extender can't connect to the router'. I tried a manual setup using a static Ip. but to no avail. I dont get internet from the extender. My belkin router details are as follows: IP : 192.168.2.1 Mask: 255.255.255.0 DHCP enabled from 192.168.2.2 to 192.168.2.200 Need some help and assistance of how I can setup the access point throught ethernet so I can hget faster speeds. Hi, I've been having trouble getting a wired connection with my Netgear Extender after we replace our Xfinity router due to the previous one being fried during a storm. It's been giving me Unidentified Network/ Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration. My current setup is a Cisco Xfinity Modem/Router Hybrid Model DPC3941T in the main office on the main floor and the EX7300 Netgear Extender in the basement set up as an extender. WiFi is strong and is working normally, only the wired connection is giving me a hard time. I have some knowledge/experience with troubleshooting and have already tried most of the basic troubleshooting steps to see what was wrong. - Factory reset the extender / modem / router - Replaced ethernet cable - Used a switch between the extender and computer - Did multiple ipconfig /release /renew with no results - Did the netsh commands to reset TCP/IP reset - Uninstalled the network driver / reinstalled with the current driver / tried using older driver - Did sfc /scannow - Gave the extender a static IP - Gave the computer a static IP / 10.0.0.1 / 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.0.1 as gateways I am getting a connection from the ethernet port on the EX7300 so it's not hardware related and more on the computer side. I've probably visited hundreds of sites and forums and tried the solutions there but my situation stayed the same. Here's my ipconfig /all Windows PowerShell Copyright (C) 2016 Microsoft Corporation. Not sure if V3 is the right version or not. The box it came in says WN3000RP-100NAS I have a small piece of electronics that seems to need a hard coded 10mb Full Duplex ethernet port. I have the N300 configured as an Extender and attached to my existing WiFi. If I plug a regular PC into the ethernet port, it works. If I plug this device I need to use directly into my switch and config my switch port for 10mb/Full, I am able to connect to it. If my switch port is set for Auto/Auto, it will not negotiate/connect to this device I need to connect. So what I would like to do is hard configure the ethernet port on the N300 for 10MB/Full. I don't see anywhere that this is possible to do though in the web interface and there appears to be no CLI available. Thanks!2.6KViews0likes2CommentsRange Extender losing connection on ethernet cable
I've recently bought a EX6150 wifi range extender and it works just fine when it comes to the extending of the wifi and so. However, I bought this particular model because it also has the possibility to connect a device using an ethernet cable, my pc in this case. Whenever I shutdown my pc, it seems to lose connection over the cable but the wifi still works great. When I wait a while after my pc has started it'll connect again though. Is there anyway to minimise this waiting period? Thanks in advance3.7KViews0likes2CommentsEthernet cable out not working
I just bought a EX3700. The only reason is because i have an interactive TV box that only takes ethernet cords for some reason. My router is in the other room so i don't want a really long cable going between rooms. Problem is that the wifi works fine but the ethernet out connection doesn't (which was the main reason of buying the thing) any ideas?5.1KViews0likes3CommentsWNCE2001: Trouble when I unplug the power adapter: the LAN led is off
Hi, I have a WNCE2001 (Universal WiFi Internet Adapter); every time that I remove/unplug the power adapter, this unit is no longer able to provide the ethernet connection: i mean that the LAN led will remain OFF (is not green), and any computer will claims about the fact that no ethernet connection is available. To see the LAN led green/on I have to plug/unplug the ethernet cable various times, and is not always enough: I also have to plug and to unplug the power adapter various times, and the same behaviour also occurs if I feed the unit using the usb cable (so is not a trouble caused by a defective power adapter). After various attempts (sometimes it needs few minutes, sometimes it needs also an half hour), I can see the LAN led ON/green. This is not due my computer: this trouble also occurs with any other device provided with an ethernet port. If I leave the WNCE2001 always plugged to the power unit I don't see the described issue; however after about one hour, the WNCE2001 become very very hot/warm. I had to put the WNCE2001 upon a big heatsink; in this way it remains almost little bit warm. The WNCE2001 is provided with the last available firmware 1.0.0.26 "Unfortunately" this device is no longer provided with the warranty. However I have to mention the fact that I have some electronic skills: I was thinking that I could attempt to open the unit by removing the screws and maybe looking the inner status, eg by removing the dust using an air compressor. However this unit, to me, seems clean/OK. Some suggestions /hints? Kind regards.4.2KViews0likes4Comments
