2 TopicsVLAN Trunking across multiple GS748T (and other switches)
Hi, We have a setup with a number of Netgear switches (two are GS748Tv5) and I want to create a VLAN, let's say 10 which is present on both switches. What I want is ports 1,2,3 and 4 on Switch A and 5,6,7 and 8 on switch B to be in VLAN 10. Let's say port 10 links them both. I've created VLAN 10 on Switch A and Switch B. On port 10 which links Switch A to Switch B I have set the VLAN membership to T. On the member ports (1,2,3 and 4) on Switch A and (5,6,7 and 8) Switch B I have set the VLAN membership to U. I then remove the ports out of the default VLAN 1 - however devices on each switch can't see each other. Where am I going wrong? Also, can I add similar configuration to other Netgear switches which aren't this model, for example the FS728TLP and Netgear ProSafe M4100-50G Many thanks M5KViews0likes6Comments
