Got my orbi system this weekend. Playing with the app and a bit confused by the device manager tab A few times i have clicked on it and it gives a list split by wired, 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz with an 'on/off' button (a green slider) which is really useful, but most of the time its just a list without the split and buttons. When it gives the basic list i can click in to individual items and check the 5/2.4 status but there is no on/off button. Why is the format of this different form time to time? Recently installed this System with 2 satellites. I have a 2024 Dell 3530 with Intel Core i7 and Windows 11. I have a Starlink Satellite System but I used the "Bypass" feature and made the Orbi RBR750 my primary router. I didn't notice it right away but when I was going to copy some recent trip photos taken with my iPhone 11 and saved in my local iCloud for Windows app and Photo folder, the recent trip photos had not updated locally on my Dell. I used CoPilot to find solutions and there were a number of Orbi Router configurations to modify, as well as McAfee and Window Defender anti-virus and firewall settings to review. Without listing all the configurations I modified right now, if there are any users of this Orbi RBR750 router that experienced the same issue and found solutions I would love to discuss your solution to this issue. Thanks for your help in advance.185Views0likes3CommentsRS500 connected devices list doesn't match nighthawk and home assistant apps
Nighthawk app and Home Assistant app with Netgear integration don't read the full list of connected devices even though the 192.168.1.1 router admin portal shows the full list of connected devices. I have two phones that do not show up on the list in either app, but do show up on the list in the router admin portal. The only workaround is to reboot the RS500 router which properly syncs the full list of connected devices across apps but within 1-2 weeks the list becomes desynchronized again. This causes my home automation to fail as it relies on my phones being discovered on the WiFi network for presence detection when I am home and connected to the router. My router firmware version is v1.0.5.22. Since both home assistant and nighthawk apps are failing to read the full device list at the same time, I believe this is a router firmware issue or REST API cloud/server endpoint issue (ARP cache issue?). Home assistant uses the Netgear API via Python on a raspberry pi server connected directly via Ethernet to the router, I'd assume the nighthawk app uses a similar mechanism to retrieve the connected device list. Hoping this can be escalated to the Netgear engineering team. Best regards.432Views0likes7CommentsOrbi RBR50 and web access
I have a RBR50 with 2 satellites. They have v2.7.5.6 firmware The phone (iPhone 16) app is version 2.49.0.14 and shows connected via Anywhere Access. My issue is the web site page. I can no longer login into it securely. It always comes up NOT SECURE ! As a result I can see my settings and info BUT cannot change anything. It starts as orbilogin.com:80 and accepts Admin and my password but once it opens it is still not secure. I don't know what has changed since it was working and am at a loss to find the fix.Solved285Views0likes6CommentsI cannot access my service contracts from the Orbi App
When I try to open my service contracts, the App just hangs. I have two active Orbi 970 service contracts linked to my account (one for a returned Orbi 970 Router). Could this be the reason? Any other ideas? Additionally I cannot see any protection level history and some of the displayed data like number of devices with installed Armor in the App are wrong / 0. Might or might not be related. Again any ideas?144Views0likes4CommentsNetgear nighthawk app only displays completely white screen.
Does anyone know how to fix the obvious problem of the Nighthawk app only showing a white screen? I have deleted the app by going into setting on my iPhone 13. I have even waited a few days. Each time I re-install in takes me through a few permission questions. It DOES NOT ask me to login, it is always already logged in. I am then taken to a completely white screen. I can close the app and reopen but it only takes me to the completely blank, white screen. I am running IOS 16.3.1.358Views0likes1CommentiOS app flakey since 10.5.20.3
Since installing this version on the satellites first, one at a time, and then the router, it seems as though the iOS app is a little flakey. for instance, one of my satellites simply shows a “dash” - as the firmware version. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. Signed out and back in. Same issue. if I log into the GUI or the satellite, it reports the same firmware version as the other satellite and router. So it appears to be a UI bug. anyone seen a similar issue before?107Views0likes1Comment
