We have a Netgear D6200 and it’s been working beautifully for the last year and a bit. However, I went away on holiday and have come back to find that the connection to the internet is pretty much unusable. I’m reasonably sure there’s something odd going on with the router and I’ve listed out what I’ve observed below. I’d really appreciate any help in trying to get things running smoothly again! Setup We have a fiber optic cable (NBN) connected to a box installed in the house. The Netgear router is connected to this box via ethernet. Our devices connect to the router via WiFi. The router sits on a desk in our living room. It's not in direct sunlight and there aren't any obvious sources of moisture or anything. (We live in Sydney, so it can get pretty warm this time of year, but we left the blinds down the whole time, which normally keeps things a reasonable temperature inside.) The NBN box is in our wardrobe in the bedroom. Symptoms Sluggish/intermittent internet connectivity when browsing/streaming. All devices report a strong connection to the WiFi. The Internet LED is green on the router. When a laptop is connected via WiFi: Pinging the router showed good response times and no packet loss. Pinging www.google.com.au showed poor response time and severe packet loss. (The packet loss is anywhere from 40-80%) When a laptop is connected to the router via Ethernet: Same as with WiFi. It doesn’t seem to be a wireless connectivity issue. When a laptop is connected directly to the NBN box: Pinging www.google.com.au showed good response times and no packet loss. Browsing is as per normal. What I’ve Tried Rebooting the router via the control panel. Powering off the router by pushing the button on the back and unplugging it. Updating the router firmware from V1.1.00.20_1.00.20 to V1.1.00.26_1.00.26. Factory resetting the router. Powering off the router and the NBN box. This seemed to work once, but the problem returned shortly thereafter. Switching the WiFi on and off on our devices.SolvedR6700 loses wireless internet connection after reboot
The last few times that my router lost power, it lost wireless connectivity to the Internet. The admin console shows no errors, and my wired devices can connect. Wireless devices connect to the network, but no Internet. Tried bounding multiple times and tried access mode. Any suggestions?SolvedMy PS4 will connect to my N750 router and the internet, but can't use PSN.
I am having an issue with my WNDR4300 N750 WiFi Dual Band Gigabit Router running on firmware version V1.0.0.32. It would seem that this router is cutting off connections with the Playstation Network. Having used a previous router and everything working fine, after the installation of the new router, PSN on my PS4 and the PS App on my phone cannot connect. After having been through several calls with both the PS support and my ISP support, I am hoping to find some solutions here. The easiest solution to me at the moment is to simply buy a new router, but I would prefer being able to use this one. Hope someone can help with this issue!Solved
