Hi everyone, I recently bought a XR500 Nighthawk gaming router. I cannot however get the network traffic prioritisation to work properly. Sometimes it picks up game traffic (Blizzard launcher) but then it turns off when actually playing a game (World of Warcraft). Some games it doesn't even pick up at all (Battlefield 1, 2 & 3; Call of Duty: WWII). I've tried automatic by enabling the "DumaOS Classified Games" option via the associated checkbox. I've also tried adding devices/profiles but that doesn't seem to work either. I've also tried manually entering ports, but get an error message saying that they overlap with another profile. There are some prioritised packets but hardly any at all (~150 out of ~500k). I've also applied anti-bufferbloat and capped it at 75% for both upload and download. As far as bandwidth allocation goes, that's also at 75% for upload and download for my PC and 25% for upload and download assigned to my smartphone. I also have the geo-filter enabled, based in the UK and set to 1400km in filter mode (profile is for Call of Duty). My current setup network wise is I have a BT home hub 5 (an awful piece of equipment I know) setup as an access point. I have the XR500 WAN port connected to the BT router via a LAN socket. This setup will change in the future though when HyperOptic get back to me about why my 1Gbit/s fibre only has a download speed of 5Mbit/s. When that's sorted I'll put the HyperOptic router in modem mode and use that instead. Any help is much appreciated! If you need any more information then please feel free to ask. Thanks in advance!7.7KViews0likes34CommentsUpgraded router to Nighthawk R7000 and now my VueZone GW2010 & cameras won't connect
Hi, I just recently upgraded my router to the Nighthawk 7000 and I have the older model Vuezone base station (GW2010) with 5 cameras for home security. I have gone through all the basic troubleshooting suggestions and I just can't get the base station to connect with the new router. Everything else in my home is working beautifully with the new router and I also invested into a new battery backup/surge protector for my home office equipment because we have had some construction going on down the road and have experienced a few power blips on and off lately. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to upgrade to an Arlo based system to get it working even though I was hoping not to have to spend anymore $$$ on this for home security. I really loved my vuezone and I hope this isn't built-in obsolence with my basestation and cameras. Thank you for you comments in advance. I have just had this issue with my new PLP1200 I bought a month ago. The lower led (Pick A Plug LED) varies from On to Green but doesn't let my PC connect via ethernet. I have the other Adapter set at the Modem and this other one connected to my PC. I have tried Factory Reset, many many IpConfig solutions I have found online, but none seems to have worked. The problem solver does nothing (as always) and it still says Unidentified Network - No Internet Access1.2KViews0likes3CommentsN300 keeps disconnecting
Hey guys, I've set up my router as an access point for my house. It works for 12 to 24 hours but then disconnects from my modem. I've been searching for days but coudn't find the issue. Maybe some of you have an answer? My router is running the latest firmware and is connected to the modem via a powerline model PL1000.SolvedSONOS & ORBI : FW V1.5.0.12 - not working anymore
since FW 1.5.0.12 - my sonos system is constantly loosing its connection - tried different seups, the only setup which works at the moment is nr 4. as soon as the SONOS players and the ORBI system are in the same network, something went wrong like disappearing SONOS player / sonos players are loosing their ip adress ( tested also with static adress, but with no success) - SONOS customer care team has checked the players and found out that a heavy multicast traffic is causing the bridge disconnects and suggested to separate both. but before that FW update, the system was set up like nr 1 and was working! setup: 1.modem (AVM fritzbox, WLan disabled) --> Orbi (Router mode)--> SONOS Bridge via ethernet 2.modem (AVM fritzbox, WLan disabled) --> Orbi ( AP mode) --> SONOS Bridge via ethernet 3.Modem (AVM fritzbox, WLan disabled) --> SONOS Bridge via ethernet port 1 & Orbi ( AC mode) via ethnernet port 2 of the modem 4.Modem (AVM fritzbox, WLan disabled) --> SONOS Bridge via ethernet port 1 & Orbi ( Router mode) via ethnernet port 2 of the modem main issue with setup 4 - the SONOS brigde gets an IP from the modem´s DHCP while all other computers/tablets connecting wirelessly to the ORBIs other DHCP range --> resulting : the android controller is not seeing the SONOS players ( any suggestion like static routing ?)SolvedC6300 5GHz band stops working
Hi, for the second time in a few days my brand new modem/router stopped broadcasting on the 5GHz band. The SSID for the band is still broadcasted, I can connect, but if I inspect the connection it is on the 2.4GHz band. Turning the 5GHz band off and on doesn't help. Resetting the device doesn't help. Unplugging it and keeping the power button pressed for 60sec does the trick. Will be there a patch for this issue? My ISP is Xfinity. Thanks!3.2KViews0likes2Comments
