Dear All! I tried to start to monitor my netgear switches, and on the server i choosed the built in netgate template. Works fine expected two things, the psu and the fan recognize is false, found a few threads about this but no solution. At mapping i see this: The switch default state is two, so thats noot good, and if i try to snmpwalk th oid i get only 1 and 2 for value if im doing it good. The fan state is fan 0: 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.43.1.6.1.3.1.0 and gets 2 what is fault in the value, but cannot figure out what is the correct value. Now to solve the problem in the mapping i switch operational and failed value, and in the macro set the fault to 1, now its reports okay but im not sure its 100% will work when i have a fan error. PSU the problem i have is the psu0 has problem and i dont know why.366Views0likes5CommentsM4300 24x24F Stack member failure
Hello We are having situation where 02 member of two member stack is crashing for unknown reason. We had this crash multiple times on various firmware. We do not run multicast and traffic is really low. Topology is star with redundant links to access layer switches(aruba), we use SPF+ 10G 12.0.17.16 Symptoms, high CPU reported, no obvious reason for it(eg extra traffic). When logged into GUI, CLI to investigate. CPU would go back to normal and we were unable to find out what is causing it. If stack/02 member was not rebooted at this time it would eventually crash in a way where it kept interfaces up, it would eventually fully reboot and join stack. 12.0.19.12 Same as 12.0.17.16 12.0.19.19 No spike in CPU usage. We did get some logs that look useful(attached). Crash happened out of hours with nobody in the office so traffic/usage was real low. Both members of stack were rebooted, but this did not help so right now we run on 01 only. I'll go to remote office to plug console into 02 to see if I can get anything useful. Any idea what could be causing this?28Views0likes2CommentsVlan Combine when Partition Walls controlled QSC

Hello guys, I have a network remote comprising of switch netgear gs724T. On One site two different stream are present on the switch with different Vlan and Multicast address Site A 1. Vlan 111 - First IP Stream with a Multicast Address are pooled on port 3 4 & 5 to be connected on decoder and the stream are fine 2. Vlan 112 - Second IP stream with a multicast address is originated from an ip decoder and connected to port 11 and 12 where to be decoded on site b On Site B 1. the Vlan 112 is beind decoded and monitored where the video is MOSAIC. Note From site a to site b microwave link is used with a capacity 1 gbps and all config is ok IGMP was configured globally and for each VLAN. the issue of mosaic persists kindly advise for a solution Thanks241Views0likes13CommentsM4350 switch doesn't fallback to guest network
Hi, I trying to setup 802.1x (EAP-TLS) with a fallback guest VLAN. 802.1x works correctly for devices that have the certificate, but devices that don't send EAP packages don't get put in the guest VLAN (666). They just get stuck in with an 169.254.X.X address. Hi, the power on start of self teset on my GSM4248UX is failing. I power on the switch and it starts with the test. All of the ports in the back of the unit light up for a few seconds. The power LED blinks a number of times then stays on red solid light. The switch is not accessible via the OBB or any of the ports. The switch was working fine for a day or tow, but then we updated the software to the latest firmware. V13.0.5.24 Then we started having this issue. I have tried the paper clip reset multiple times, but there are no indications that this is working at all. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.204Views0likes5CommentsPoE issue with low power device (DOREMiDi MR-1 PoE) on Netgear M4250 switch
Hello, I am experiencing an issue with PoE when using a Netgear M4250-9G1F-PoE+ switch together with a low power PoE device. Setup: Switch: Netgear M4250-9G1F-PoE+ Device: DOREMiDi MR-1 PoE (MIDI device) Power consumption of the device: approx. 1.5W The problem is that the MR-1 PoE requires less power than the minimum PoE power delivered by the Netgear switch (minimum seems to be around 3W). Because the device draws so little power, the switch detects insufficient power consumption and automatically disables PoE on that port. As a result, the device does not stay powered on when connected to the Netgear switch. Interestingly, the same device works perfectly on a Cisco switch (Cisco LGS108P), where PoE remains enabled and stable. My question: Is there a way to configure the Netgear M4250 switch to support PoE devices with very low power consumption? For example: A setting to force PoE on a port Adjusting PoE detection or minimum power thresholds Any recommended workaround or supported solution I would appreciate any advice or guidance on how to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance!243Views0likes4CommentsWhich Managed Switch Range?
Hi, Hopefully a very simple question. We are looking for 2 small managed PoE switches (ideally 1x8 port and 1x16 port). However, we're a bit confused by the various models and product ranges. The environment these switches are going into is quite a complicated one with multiple vLans, LAGs between switches and SMNP management/monitoring. We purchased (in error it turns out) GS3108EPP and GS3116EPP. These don't have the necessary depth of configuration to setup the vLANS and LAGs the way they need to be. I'm looking for the next range up in terms of config options. They are replacing a GS716T (going to 8 port one) and a JGS516PE both of which are now discontinued. Can someone please suggest the models we are need to replace them. Many Thanks! Chris.M4250 A&H DX port profile
Netgear recently added a port profile for A&H GigaAce which is great. But I'm wondering how best to connect DX signals. They require the ports being limited to 100mbps which the GigaAce profile won't be. Could this be a request for a new port profile?385Views0likes7Comments
