M4300 Switch Stack Upgrade Path
Hi, I have inherited a M4300 stack cluster of 3 24 port switches, which are having issues where one of the stack seems to crash/latchup & is unresponsive They are running old software 12.9.0.3 Now whilst i would love to upgrade the firmware to latest 12.0.19.21 im finding conflicting information, if we can go from 12.9.0.3 -> 12.0.19.21 or if we need to stagger with something like this: [v12.0.9.3] ──> [v12.0.11.16] ──> [v12.0.17.6] ──> [v12.0.19.21 (Latest)] Reasons i see for stagger is 17.6X breaks admin passwords & possible 15.8+ fixes that looking for clarification from support or other users, the correct upgrade path. currently have no access to usb console, & fully remote from these devices..Switch nach Konfiguration nicht erreichbar
Hallo, Auf einem Switch GS748TS wurde ein neues VLAN angelegt. Ein Port wurde als untagged dem VLAN zugewiesen. Eine PVID wurde nicht gesetzt. Dann wurde versehentlich die Management IP Konfiguration geändert. Der Switch ist jetzt weder über die neue IP Adresse noch über die alte IP Adresse erreichbar. Ein Werksreset kommt nicht in Frage. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, auf den Switch zuzugreifen?M4250 Multicast Troubles
Hey all, I'm having toubles with multicast (I think) between a Cisco SG350 and a network of Netgear 4250 AVline switches. The netgear switches are setup in a star config with the Cisco joining the "core" netgear. All seems to work however I'm having issues with a lighting node that requires multicast. The node is doing weird things so I am try to force send a specific multicast address to it. I believe everything should be configured properly. Some switches it seems to work but others not (configured the same I believe just a different number of ports). I'm using MAC filtering under traffic control for this. The second issue I'm having (could be related) is I can't find how to completely disable the IGMP querier on the netgear switches for a specific VLAN. I am using the Cisco as the Querier but the netgears keep electing themselves even with election participte disabled on all. Most of the networking I know is self taught so could easily be wrong. Hello, I am currently working on an AV system where I have a Crestron CEN-SWPOE-5AC (5-port unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch), and I am planning to replace it with a NETGEAR AV Line M4250-26G4F. My goal is for the NETGEAR switch to behave the same as the Crestron—essentially plug-and-play, operating like an unmanaged switch with no special configuration. The main switch in the building is a Cisco switch that acts as the DHCP server. With the Crestron switch, my devices receive valid IP addresses in the range of 10.103.19.x (for example, 10.103.19.7 and 10.103.19.23). However, when I connect the NETGEAR switch, the devices are instead receiving 169.254.x.x addresses. What I am trying to achieve is for the NETGEAR switch to pass DHCP correctly so that my devices receive the same type of IP addresses as they do when connected through the Crestron switch. Could you please advise what configuration is required on the NETGEAR switch to make it behave like an unmanaged switch and allow proper DHCP assignment from the main Cisco switch? Dear All! I tried to start to monitor my netgear switches, and on the server i choosed the built in netgate template. Works fine expected two things, the psu and the fan recognize is false, found a few threads about this but no solution. At mapping i see this: The switch default state is two, so thats noot good, and if i try to snmpwalk th oid i get only 1 and 2 for value if im doing it good. The fan state is fan 0: 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.43.1.6.1.3.1.0 and gets 2 what is fault in the value, but cannot figure out what is the correct value. Now to solve the problem in the mapping i switch operational and failed value, and in the macro set the fault to 1, now its reports okay but im not sure its 100% will work when i have a fan error. PSU the problem i have is the psu0 has problem and i dont know why.
