Vielen Dank im Voraus Jo27Solved3.1KViews0likes6CommentsM4300-52G-PoE Stuck in U-Boot - ERROR: can't get kernel image!
Hi Everyone, This is my first post to the Community. I am posting this procedure for those poor souls out there, which like me have experienced this issue (there are several similar posting on this forum with no solution). It took me several valuable hours to get this. This is the procedure to get your Netgear Managed Switch up and running to be able to do detailed diagnostics (in my case it turned out the flash partitions for the 2 image packages were toasted) 1. Download a Firmware Image file for the M4300 from the Netgear Support website 2. Extract the Firmware Image file from the downloaded Zip file to your PC/Laptop 3. Ensure you have a TFTP Server installed on your PC/Laptop 4. Connect to the M4300 via a Console cable 5. Power on the M4300 6. let all the Errors display and wait for the U-Boot "m4300r2>" prompt to appear 7. enter "printenv" and check that the following Environment variables have the following values : - ipaddr=192.168.0.10 - serverip=192.168.0.100 8. if values don't match above, enter the following commands - "setenv ipaddr 192.168.0.10" - "setenv netmask 255.255.255.0" - "setenv gatewayip 192.168.0.1" - "setenv serverip 192.168.0.100" 9. Set your PC/Laptop Ethernet interface IP to 192.168.0.100 10. Connect PC/Laptop Ethernet interface to the OOB Ethernet port on the front of the M4300 11. Start your TFTP Server on your PC/Laptop and set the root directory to the location of the extracted Firmware Image file 12. Enter the command "run bootargs_set" 13. Enter the command "tftpboot 0x62000000 m4300v12.0.13.8.stk" [Note: I used ver 12.0.13.8, use whatever filename is in the Firmware package] 14. Wait for the Firmware to upload to the M4300 15. Do NOT disconnect the Ethernet connection 16. Enter the command "bootm 0x62000074#ranger2" 17. The M4300 will begin to load the Application file and error again -- don't panick 18. The M4300 will again automatically load the Firmware Image file from the TFTP Server 19. Then Finally, at last, the M4300 will boot to a fully operational condition 20. Optional: Enter the commands "#delete 1 image1" and/or "#delete 1 image2" 21. Optional: Enter the commands "copy tftp://192.168.0.100/m4300v12.0.13.8.stk image1" and/or "copy tftp://192.168.0.100/m4300v12.0.13.8.stk image2" 22. Optional: Enter the commands "boot system 1 image1" and/or "boot system 1 image2" In my case the last 3 commands all failed as the Flash was obviously damaged :( PS: Why Netgear does not publish recovery instructions for the M4300 series is baffling to me, given there are many request on this forum and others requesting it . . . . anyway thought I would share . . . . hope it works out for you2.6KViews3likes1CommentFirewall nur für das LAN
Beste Grüße AndreasSolved956Views0likes3CommentsNetgear Discovery Tool 2.0.4 Will Not Allow Connection Selection
I can't connect to a ProSafe switch at all because the Netgear Discovery Tool will not allow me to select a connection to scan. On top of that, the default IP of the switch is not 192.168.0.329 (even after factory reset) and the ProSAFE Plus Utility doesn't run no matter how I try to engage it. Windows 11, for what it's worth (I saw the .NET 4.6 install req on the PPU, but that won't install because it says I have a newer version already).GS724Tv3 Switch möchte zwei Verschiedene Router

Hallo! Bitte um Hilfe! Soeben habe ich via Amazon den Switch GS308Ev4 erhalten. Wenn ich mich mit der Seriennummer registrieren möchte, erhalte ich die Info: Das Kaufland des Produkts ist ungültig. Bitte um Hilfe, Vielen Dank, MichiSolved899Views0likes3CommentsCan't login to M4300 since 12.0.19.15 firmware update
Hello, I just updated two switches M4300-28-POE+ to 12.0.19.15. I go to the IP address of the switch It has the AV UI login and the Main UI Login - I can log into the AV UI login but NOT the Main UI login which is the one I need. It goes to this site can't be reached. I reload no luck. I rebooted the switches - no luck. I tried another browser - no luck. I tried incognito mode, no luck. There is no firewall or antivirus blocking it. It worked fine until the firmware update. Short of resetting the switch to factory defaults which probably won't fix it, any suggestions other than applying an older firmware?800Views1like3CommentsCloning or backing up and restoring a stack to another stack?
Hello, I'm setting up 4 floors of M4300 - 2 x 52 and 1 x 28. What is the easiest way to do it? I have one stack ready to go but the other three won't be arriving for a few days. I plan on putting them all on the same firmware before I do anything. Should I just reset all the new switches to factory defaults and then clone switch 1 to 1 for the next floor and 2 to 2 and 3 to 3 or should I do the entire stack at a time? Any suggestions would be appreciatated.Solved600Views0likes1CommentEngage Onboarding Issue
We have 15 M4250 switches running our AV network. Recently, we realized two of those switches were assigned the same IP. Because of this, only one of the devices was showing on the Engage Dashboard. We did a hard reset on one of the switches (the one that was showing) so that we could assign it a new IP. Now the one switch that I reset will not show in Engage. I went through the Main UI to assign it a new IP address and when entering that IP into "Add Device" on Engage, I'm met with the message that the "device is already onboarded". How can I clear it from onboarding so I can set it up as a new device? Or at the very least, get it to show in Engage?498Views0likes4Comments
