Netgear Discovery Tool 2.0.4 Will Not Allow Connection Selection
I can't connect to a ProSafe switch at all because the Netgear Discovery Tool will not allow me to select a connection to scan. On top of that, the default IP of the switch is not 192.168.0.329 (even after factory reset) and the ProSAFE Plus Utility doesn't run no matter how I try to engage it.
Windows 11, for what it's worth (I saw the .NET 4.6 install req on the PPU, but that won't install because it says I have a newer version already).

This default IP address (.239 btw.) is only relevant in case there is no DHCP server in your network.
Further on I'll move you thread to the mor relevant section, since thes are in no aspect managed switches.
ProSafe Plus is not a managed switch?

Have an eye on the switch categories in this community, and check the descriptions on each section FMI.
Sorry, thanks if you're moving it to the appropriate section, I wasn't able to find a specific spot for questions about tools to manage the switches.

It'not a management tool, just what it is: A discovery utility. Keep in mind most newer Netgear switches are advertise themself using SSDP (Simple Service Discovery Protocol), aka. Bonjour to the network.
Windows can nicely enumverate such devices very handy on the Windows Explorer.
Haven't worked in MacOS these days, earlier EF. Safari has showed a list of Bonjour devices announcing a Web Service in some menu (Bookmarks?)
Last place to find an IP address is on your router operating the DHCP service for your LAN, using the MAC address as the primary index. General hint: Never set static (fixed) IP addresses, instead add reservations for be current MAC-address <> IPv4 pair.

Appreciate this is relatively old post, but I have exactly the same issue. NDT 2.04, Win11 Pro. Loads up ok, but there is no network connection showing to select. I have ESET smart security and turn off all blocking and firewall. I can access switches using web address, and Prosafe Plus utility loads up fine (it was problematic on some Win 10 machines) and it finds (most) switches. However, I like the NDT interface and function so prefer to use that. To be clear - this issue is not that it can't find the switches - it is that it appears not to be detecting the Network cards (Wifi or Ethernet), so never gets to the scan.

On further analysis, I discovered 2.07 is available, and it now works.
