MR70 does not lock out devices
I run a MR70 with two MS70 satellites and the connections is working well, so is access to the system via web-browser or app. But when I block a device that's on the network it displays as "blocked" but the device isn't blocked. It's consistent, what type of device or if it's 2.4/ 5 or LAN -connected doesn't matter, neither does waiting, rebooting, FW updates etc. Any ideas short of switching system? Controlling what's on the network is a key feature.I can confirm that this is still an issue with the MS70 versions of the Nighthawk
This is an old topic though I can confirm that this is still an issue with the MS70 versions of the Nighthawk. Thankfully I found this thread as my satellites kept randomly disconnecting and my Echo Dots would not combine for whole home sound saying they were not on the same network. Taking the advice of, Gamerack I raced home from work as my wife was having issues with calls dropping and works from home, so these drops are not acceptable. I went into Advanced setting on my router and then LAN settings, found each of the satellites, set DHCP to end at 1.100, then set each satellite to a static IP with a reservation above 1.100. I also did a scan of the wifi signals and channels and did some testing finally settling on 5ghz channel 108 as stable and available. I then did reservations with a number of devices around the home, and also set my PCs NIC, which is directly connected to one satellite, to 2.5GB Full Duplex instead of auto negotiate, and received much better speeds. I ran my game all night and was no longer disconnecting. My wife will be working throughout the day with a number of meetings.MR70 or Nighthawk app issues
Hi, I do have MR70 mesh satellite router. When I try to connect new device like Laptop it connects but shows as WiFi "No Internet, Secured" same with one apple cellphone it never connected to wifi. Rest all other devices in the Home were connected and working good. May I know why my devices are getting blocked ..Is there any troubleshoot steps to resolve the issue. Hallo Community, Ich habe leider ein Problem mit meinem WLAN System zu Hause. Wir haben den MR70 Router mit zwei MS70 Satelliten. Bis jetzt hatten wir nie schnelles Internet, dadurch ist es uns nie aufgefallen, seit 2 Tagen haben wir Glasfaser im Haus. Der Router steht bei uns im Keller, wo das Glasfaser ins Haus geht, dann ein Satellit im Erdgeschoss und einer im 1. Stock. Muss dazu sagen, der Router im Keller und im Erdgeschoss sind räumlich ziemlich genau übereinander platziert, der im 1. Stock etwas versetzt. Nachdem gestern Abend im 1 Stock das WLAN sehr langsam war habe ich einen Geschwindigkeitstest gemacht. Der Router war mit dem Satelliten im Erdgeschoss verbunden, der im 1. Stock mit dem im Erdgeschoss. Bei uns läuft die Glasfaserleitung in einen Fritz!Box Router und dann über ein Ethernetkabel weiter in den MR70 Router. Laut Nighthawkapp schaffen wir über 900MBit Download, welche am MR70 Router ankommt. Wenn ich mit dem Handy einen Geschwindigkeitstest im Internet mache, wo ich sehe was am Gerät ankommt und nicht wie in der App am MR70 ankommt, habe ich folgende Geschwindigkeiten gehabt. Keller ca 250Mbit, Erdgeschoss ca 120Mbit, 1. Stock ca. 6Mbit. Habe jetzt das WLAN System neu gestartet. Dadurch hat sich die Verteilung laut App etwas geändert. Nun sind beide Satelliten direkt mit dem Router im Keller verbunden und nicht mehr der im ersten Stock mit dem im Erdgeschoss. Dadurch habe ich jetzt folgende Geschwindigkeiten: Keller: 500Mbit, Erdgeschoss ca. 130Mbit, 1. Stock nicht mal ganz 1Mbit. Ich vermute, dass die Verbindung zwischen den Geräten zu schlecht ist, dass hier sehr hohe Verlustleistung eintritt, aber solche unterschiede finde ich schon extrem. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, wie ich die Leistung der Geschwindigkeit im gesamten Haus mit besagtem MR70, MS70 System Verbessern kann? Bereits vielen Dank! lg Manuel
