Does M6 5g support carrier aggregation? I guess it is. If so, how many carrier aggregation bands can I use? For example, the Nokia 5G Receiver 5G16-A supports 4 Carrier Aggregation (4CA), allowing it to achieve up to 300 MHz of aggregated bandwidth. Any help will be much appreciated! Oh, I also want to know if there are any recommended 5G antennas for M6. Thanks. Can the screen on M6 be rotated?
Is the LED screen on the M6 rotatable? The reason I'm asking is that I saw there is an Ethernet port at the bottom of M6. I plan to plug my laptop via the cable. If I want to put this device vertically, the Touchscreen would be upside down. I prefer to plug the cable from the top:-D. Heard somewhere that the vertical position is good for heat dissipation. Will 5G SA support on MR6150 be reassessed in the future?
I have two MR6150 hotspots connected to the T-Mobile network, and sometimes they will try to carrier aggregate with LTE bands that appear to be congested in my area. I have seen the two hotspots sitting right next to each other where one decides to connect to LTE B2 and achieves speeds of around 400Mbps, and the other connects to LTE B66 and can barely break 100Mbps. This is from the same location with the same T-Mobile SIM and same plan. I would love to know what is causing the different behaviors when the two identical hotspots are right next to each other. Sometimes I can get the one that gravitates toward B66 to connect to B2 after a reboot, or driving around with it, but it doesn't reliably stay there. When it is on B2, it performs great, when it is on B66 the performance is horrible. I did some research and I found out that the 5G Standalone mode used to be offered but was removed, as discussed in this thread: MR6150 - Cannot connect to 5G only bands | NETGEAR Communities The reasoning for its removal from the firmware seems ridiculous. It reads to me like "oh because we felt like it and you shouldn't use it anyway, Netgear knows better than you and based on a few lab tests we see no real world use case for this setting". Since that response was now around 2 years ago, and in that time I think attitudes toward 5G Standalone are changing, will 5G Standalone ever be added back in to the firmware? As a test I downgraded my device to a version 10 firmware, and it is able to connect to 5G Standalone, and the performance is far improved from when it was randomly connecting to B66. I went from unreliable and unpredictable speeds to predictable and good speeds. For now, I think I will continue to run the old firmware so I can have the 5G Standalone feature that was taken away for no reason. Alternatively, I would love a way to blacklist bands that I don't want the device to connect to. If there were checkboxes for each band and I could simply disable N71, so the device would stay on B2, the performance would be better for me. As time passes and carrier attitudes shift toward preferring 5G Standalone, is there ever going to come a time when this feature will be reconsidered and put back into the new firmware? Thanks, KirkM5 Nighthawk MR5200 Problem Acces Intern
Hello, I am reaching out for assistance with my Netgear Nighthawk M5 router. I have a 5G Surf Unlimited subscription with Salt (Switzerland), and the SIM card works perfectly when used in my mobile phone (iphone), including when I use my phone as a hotspot. However, when I insert the same SIM card into the Nighthawk M5 (MR5200), the device shows a strong 5G signal with full bars, but i can't acces web pages / internet. Pages are not loading (one time i succeed by manually changing DNS to 1.1.1.1 and others stuff, but it was super slow, now i reset and nothing work...). I would like to know if there are specific settings I need to adjust, such as DNS configurations or other network settings ?. I had the confirmation from Salt that they don't block / restrict acces to internt, so the problem comes from the M5 setting. I think the problem is coming from the APN settings. I wrote "internet" as suggested. Again it's connected but it seems to have no communication with the "internet". I spent days on it... you are my last hope. Thanks in advance PepitoGuest Network & Dual Band Issues on Nighthawk M6 (MR6150-100EUS)
Hi everyone, I’m using a Netgear Nighthawk M6 (MR6150-100EUS) and recently ran into two problems that weren’t there before — everything used to work fine until a short while ago: Guest Wi-Fi network not showing up Guest network is enabled in the admin panel and set to broadcast. SSID is simple, no special characters. Broadcast is active but the SSID is invisible on all devices (iOS, Android, Windows). Tried reboots, changing SSID/password, and other settings — no luck. Dual band issues I have 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz enabled, but only 2.4 GHz works. No device will connect to 5 GHz. What I’ve tried so far: Full factory reset Updated firmware Different SSIDs and passwords The problems still remain. I’m trying to figure out whether this is: A firmware bug A new compatibility issue Or a hardware fault Has anyone here run into something similar with the MR6150-100EUS? Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, AfrazM6 MR6150 Not Connecting to 5G NR (n78) in Brazil – Only LTE
GoodMorning! Hello, I’m using a Netgear Nighthawk M6 (MR6150) in Brazil with a Vivo SIM card. This SIM is on the same mobile plan as my phone, and when inserted into my iPhone, it connects to 5G NR (n78) and gets speeds over 1200 Mbps. However, when used in the M6, the device only connects to LTE (B1), even though the 5G NR band n78 is available and supported by both the carrier and the M6. The device shows “5GSUB6” in the status, but under Radio Band, it still shows LTE only. Speed tops out at ~40 Mbps. I have already: - Updated to the latest firmware - Set the correct APN (zap.vivo.com.br) - Tested different network modes (5G Only, 5G/4G Auto, etc.) - Verified that the M6 MR6150 supports n78 - Compared the exact same SIM at the same location in a phone (which gets 5G NR just fine) Is there a way to force or lock the M6 to use NR band n78, or to troubleshoot why it won’t connect to 5G NR even when available? Any help or command-line tools to check this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! MarkMR6110 unable to connect to Telstra
Bought the MR6110 from JB Hi-Fi in Tweed City (BTW great service there) but after just 3 days I've experienced "Unable to join the network [SSID]" on multiple devices (iPhone, iPad, sometime after being connected for 30+ minutes. Disconnecting and forgetting the SSID then reconnecting seems to work, but it's a pain and I didn't have this problem with the ZTE MU5120 from the same location using the same Telstra 5G network. I only changed routers because JB Hi-Fi offered a better deal than I had with Telstra on the ZTE device. I contacted Netgear Support but the chat session offered only that I should contact Telstra, which anyone in Australia knows will take up most of the day and generally achieve nothing. I have been able to connect to the admin page and checked that the firmware is NTGX65_12.01.41.00. Netgear chat suggested changing the Channel & DNS. From the www. routerlogin. com/ interface Status/diagnostics menu I see that the channel is 3148 but there's really no way to change that, the only thing that's configurable is 5G, 2.4Ghz or both. I use 5G only. If this continues I still have the ZTE MU5120 and I'm wondering if I can swap the sim into that?MR6150 - Nighthawk M6 - MCC/MNC issue
I'm using the nighthawk for a while with a Belgium sim card ( Digi Belgium ) . Custom apn added. When I was abroad ( Holland ) last week it didn't work. But ok roaming was not enabled so enabled it , fine. When I came back to Belgium, no luck. On the display 'searching' ... Even after rebooting.. no luck Did a reset started over, no luck When I put the sim card in a mobile phone all is ok . When I put another sim in the router , that's also fine Then I looked at the diagnostics, and I'm surprised. The MNC is not correct for my simcard. It's also detected as another provider ( BASE ) .. Contacted support and they told me to check on a mobile phone and try changing MNC. When I put the sim in a phone, the MCC/MNC was correct.... so no need to change.... When I put it back in the router, wrong MNC. ANd there is NO Way to change it on the M6 .. Now I'm complete stuck. Support of mobile provider, tells me there is nothing wrong with their sim Any idea? how can I tackle this on the M6 ? Thanks
