Hey everyone, before I start I want to apologize if this is not the correct section to post this thread. The router I currently own is this one (click here) and I simply cannot access my router settings (routerlogin.com or 192.168.1.1) I do get the text box to input my username : password but all the login infos I've looked up in google won't work. Text Box I get to see. I tried multiple sites to check for login info and none work, one of those being this huge "2018 updated" list: https://www.lifewire.com/netgear-default-password-list-2619154 At the beggining I thought it could be my router messing stuff around because sometimes I got a message saying "Your conenction is not secure" so I tried on MS Edge and then on Firefox, no luck either. I decided to contact ISP, blah, blah, for security reasons they cannot give me admin : password (not sure why?) [My ISP provided me this Netgeat router, I didn't buy it by myself]. Anyhow I did not care about what they said because I used to have TrendNET router and could access to my router settings with no interference from them; the next big step I did was holding the little "factory reset" until the power light started to blink (Not sure if it's held more time it might do something). After factory reset I got the default SSID and PW of the network, I logged in, and had to "log-in" to the network, the only thing it said was the SSID and PW I already knew and 2 buttons, one was to print all the info and the other one to proceed and "activate" the internet. Tried all the possible combinations of admin : password after factory reset and no luck either, no I'm stuck with a SSID called "SureWest-f1" instead of the custom SSID I want. I remember once after a while (because I gave up and submitting a live chat here required a proof of purchase which I don't have because like I mentioned before, my ISP gave this to me) I remember attempting to factory reset it again like 4+ times, and only ONE of them allowed me to access the router info, I had like 3 options to choose, continue with net, configure settings, etc. (instead of the print thing screen I mentioned before) but amazingly unlucky me something happened and after settings everything I wanted, the save button or whatever it was simply didn't work, didn't have connection anymore, had to factory reset again and since then I haven't ever been able to access my router settings apart from that lucky try. (Not exactly sure WHAT I did that one time, maybe I held the factory reset button longer? Who knows..) I'd really like to access my router settings to change SSID how I want, custom password, and doing some port-forwarding. Please any help is appreciated, my ISP just won't help me, they're limiting me what to do with my OWN router.SolvedR6300v2 and Facebook Wi-Fi
Dear community, I just have bought Netgear R6300v2 to use it in my bar with Facebook Wi-Fi function. The latest available firmware V1.0.4.6_10.0.76 is installed, Guest access is enabled, but every time I click "configure" in Facebook Wi-Fi page, browser takes me to erroneous page: https://www.facebook.com/wifiauth/config?gw_id= After that Netgear Genie becomes irresponsive and only reboot helps to get again into Administration panel. Perhaps somebody can hlep me? I suspect that Facebook has changed the page url for this kind of configuration. What is the right Facebook page link to configure such things? Perhaps it may help. Router is phisically located in Latvia.Serial Number: 44015177012F1Solved9.7KViews0likes62CommentsInternet speed
PLEASE HELP! I have this R6220 netgear router with a dual band 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz. I have my iphones connected to my 5ghz band, and my ps3 connected to my 2.4 because it doesn't supports the 5ghz band. My internet provider is from Cox which is 50mbps. And the problem im having is low speeds on my 2.4 ghz with an average of 20 mbps. In the other hand in my 5ghz band im getting and average of even more at 60mbps. And what i don't understand is why im getting that slow speeds on 2.4ghz if my router is rated for even higher speeds in my 2 bands. I know 5ghz is faster than 2.4ghz, but my internet service is only 50mbps.SolvedR6400 Networking speeds
good morning all, i have a R6400 router installed in my home and i seem to be having issues on one of my har wire lines i have ran, to note i have ran Cat 5e thoughout my whole house, currently i have about 200Mbps speeds from my modem using Comcast as my ISP, i have my descktop hard wired to router, i have another line plugged into the router that runs to master bedroom (nothing plugged into it on that end) another one from the router to my living room where that line goes into a gigabit switch (in my gigabit switch i have a PS4,a Android TV box, surround sound reciever and tv) and the last port on the router goes down to another switch on my desk that goes to my NAS drive and another bedroom in the house (nothing connected in room) Ok so on my desktop PC im getting about 190 to 207 Mbps when i run a test, no big deal its perfect but when i try to run a speed test on anything in my living room i cant seem to get over 20Mbps, so i tried taking the line out of the gigabit switch and bypassing it strait into my laptop and again not more than 20Mbps now note i went back to my office where the router is and i took the cable that goes to my living room and went directly to my modem with it went back to laptop to run test again and now i get just over 100Mbps, so seems like my Cat 5e cable is good and that the router seems to be limiting my speeds somehow, can anyone else help with this issue? what could possibly be the issue here? sorry for all of the back and fourth stuff but i was trying to give as much description as i could with my systemSolved
