14 TopicsCannot access my router settings (log-in) in any way (factory reset'd several times)
Hey everyone, before I start I want to apologize if this is not the correct section to post this thread. The router I currently own is this one (click here) and I simply cannot access my router settings (routerlogin.com or 192.168.1.1) I do get the text box to input my username : password but all the login infos I've looked up in google won't work. Text Box I get to see. I tried multiple sites to check for login info and none work, one of those being this huge "2018 updated" list: https://www.lifewire.com/netgear-default-password-list-2619154 At the beggining I thought it could be my router messing stuff around because sometimes I got a message saying "Your conenction is not secure" so I tried on MS Edge and then on Firefox, no luck either. I decided to contact ISP, blah, blah, for security reasons they cannot give me admin : password (not sure why?) [My ISP provided me this Netgeat router, I didn't buy it by myself]. Anyhow I did not care about what they said because I used to have TrendNET router and could access to my router settings with no interference from them; the next big step I did was holding the little "factory reset" until the power light started to blink (Not sure if it's held more time it might do something). After factory reset I got the default SSID and PW of the network, I logged in, and had to "log-in" to the network, the only thing it said was the SSID and PW I already knew and 2 buttons, one was to print all the info and the other one to proceed and "activate" the internet. Tried all the possible combinations of admin : password after factory reset and no luck either, no I'm stuck with a SSID called "SureWest-f1" instead of the custom SSID I want. I remember once after a while (because I gave up and submitting a live chat here required a proof of purchase which I don't have because like I mentioned before, my ISP gave this to me) I remember attempting to factory reset it again like 4+ times, and only ONE of them allowed me to access the router info, I had like 3 options to choose, continue with net, configure settings, etc. (instead of the print thing screen I mentioned before) but amazingly unlucky me something happened and after settings everything I wanted, the save button or whatever it was simply didn't work, didn't have connection anymore, had to factory reset again and since then I haven't ever been able to access my router settings apart from that lucky try. (Not exactly sure WHAT I did that one time, maybe I held the factory reset button longer? Who knows..) I'd really like to access my router settings to change SSID how I want, custom password, and doing some port-forwarding. Please any help is appreciated, my ISP just won't help me, they're limiting me what to do with my OWN router.SolvedNetgear Xr500: sliders does no affect to download speed
So I have purchased the Netgear Xr500 after many years of use on the NetDuma R1. I have my download speeds set up which I’m currently getting 329 Mbps download and 12 Mbps upload. My Xbox gets the majority of the internet but when I lower my sliders for the download, nothing seems to happen to my download speed it will stay the same. I am looking for some help or advice on this matter. Thank you4.9KViews0likes6CommentsConnecting AC1200 EX6150-100NAS Range Extender to Ring Video Doorbell
I connected my AC1200 range extender to my FiOS router yesterday and my iPhone and Mac had no trouble connecting to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands on the range extender. When I tried to connect my Ring Doorbell, however, it only detected the 2.4GHz band, and couldn't connect to the range extender. It connected to my FiOS router just fine, but the range means that the doorbell has a poor connection. This is why I purchased the range extender in the first place. Has someone managed to successfully do this before? I'd hate to return the range extender, but I may need to. Thanks.Solved17KViews0likes3CommentsNetgear Genie Still Crashing

Dear community, I just have bought Netgear R6300v2 to use it in my bar with Facebook Wi-Fi function. The latest available firmware V1.0.4.6_10.0.76 is installed, Guest access is enabled, but every time I click "configure" in Facebook Wi-Fi page, browser takes me to erroneous page: https://www.facebook.com/wifiauth/config?gw_id= After that Netgear Genie becomes irresponsive and only reboot helps to get again into Administration panel. Perhaps somebody can hlep me? I suspect that Facebook has changed the page url for this kind of configuration. What is the right Facebook page link to configure such things? Perhaps it may help. Router is phisically located in Latvia.Serial Number: 44015177012F1Solved9.6KViews0likes62CommentsInternet speed
PLEASE HELP! I have this R6220 netgear router with a dual band 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz. I have my iphones connected to my 5ghz band, and my ps3 connected to my 2.4 because it doesn't supports the 5ghz band. My internet provider is from Cox which is 50mbps. And the problem im having is low speeds on my 2.4 ghz with an average of 20 mbps. In the other hand in my 5ghz band im getting and average of even more at 60mbps. And what i don't understand is why im getting that slow speeds on 2.4ghz if my router is rated for even higher speeds in my 2 bands. I know 5ghz is faster than 2.4ghz, but my internet service is only 50mbps.SolvedNetgear wn3000rpv3 not connecting to router via ethernet
So here is my challenge: I have Belkin Router and a netgear wn3000rpv3 extender. the extnder is able to connect to the router fine through wifi and I am able to connect to my devices as well as long as I set it up as an extender. I have a 75mbps connection. by the time I get to my device via the extender.. the speeds are dropping to like 2 to 4 mbps. Hence I thought I will get a cable pulled from my router to my extender. which I did.. and here starts the challenge. My extender is not able to connect to the router as an access point. It just keeps saying " The extender can't connect to the router'. I tried a manual setup using a static Ip. but to no avail. I dont get internet from the extender. My belkin router details are as follows: IP : 192.168.2.1 Mask: 255.255.255.0 DHCP enabled from 192.168.2.2 to 192.168.2.200 Need some help and assistance of how I can setup the access point throught ethernet so I can hget faster speeds. It started out with three default network names: NETGEAR95 NETGEAR95-5G-1 NETGEAR95-5G-2 The NETGEAR95 is for the 2.4. No matter what I do, there is no way for me to modify the name of NETGEAR95-5G-1. When I log on to the Netgear Genie via the desktop app or the mobile app when logged on to any one of the three networks, I am only able to modify the names of NETGEAR95 and NETGEAR95-5G-2. It is seriously annoying. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!Solved3.8KViews0likes5CommentsNetgear N600 as a repeater?
I have an Apple Time Capsule connected to my Arris SB6141 modem. I have an additional Netgear N600 router that I want to connect to my network and use it as a wifi extender while also being able to run ethernet cables from the ports to have wired connections in another part of my house. How can I set this up? I was wondering if they will all be on the name network and not create an additional wireless network also. Thanks in advance.20KViews0likes6Comments
