I've had a Hunter WAND WiFi module in my X2 controller (irrigation system) since 2024 and it seems that after the latest RBE972S (Orbi 970/Orbi 971) firmware updates to Version 12.1.10.12, the WAND WiFi module randomly disconnects. The NETGEAR firmware update solved a number of prior problems (Google Pixel 10 smartphone) but the WAND WiFi module disconnects seem to have started after the latest firmware update. I've spent a fair number of hours attempting to resolve this problem going thru all of Hunter's recommendations and went so far as to purchase a new WAND module. No joy, the WiFi module seems to be losing the Internet connection but none of my other 30 connected devices are experiencing a similar problem. I have a full strength 100% WiFi signal at the module since the Orbi 970 Satellite is 50 feet from the irrigation system controller. I do notice in the Bluetooth interface, that after the disconnect and a subsequent reconnect in XXX seconds, the Internet connection is Poor (14%) with the Hunter Hydrawise controller is marked Failed. Anybody experiencing a similar issue with the WAND module for Hunter X2 Controllers?71Views0likes10CommentsAre EU Orbi 970 Owners Abandoned? (US is on v12.x, EU stuck on v9.x for a year!)
Is anyone else in Europe feeling completely left behind by Netgear? I invested €1,899 into the Orbi 970 Mesh System, expecting a premium, top-tier flagship experience. Instead, European customers are being treated as an absolute afterthought. Let's look at the facts: North America: Currently enjoying firmware 12.1.10.12 (getting new features, stability fixes, and security updates). Europe: Completely stuck on firmware 9.13.2.1 for almost a year now! I understand that the ETSI certification process in Europe for WiFi 7 and the 6GHz band is different and sometimes slower than the FCC process in the US. But a delay of nearly an entire year for a $2,000 / €1,900 system is a complete failure in product management and engineering. We paid the same premium price (if not more, due to taxes), yet we are forced to run outdated software. This is unacceptable. If I wanted a system with delayed, unreliable updates, I wouldn't have spent this much money on an Orbi. It seriously makes me reconsider my brand loyalty for future network upgrades. To Netgear Management / OrbiTechDude: What is the official roadmap for the European update? We need a transparent answer, not just "we are working on it." To other EU users: If you are as frustrated by this as I am, please reply to this thread and give it a Kudo. We need to make this visible so Netgear finally addresses the European market!124Views2likes1CommentNotice-New-Firmware Orbi 971/970 V12.1.10.12_5.3.16 NA Only

Hi, I recently purchased 2 pack Orbi 970, To be used as Network extender. basically after setting up the guest network, I tried to log in, but once logged in, i get a notification guest network has no internet access, both of the other 2 networks IOT and std wifi network work fine, just no internet access on guest network. I have read many posts but no real solution, or what the problem is. I haven't updated the firmware either since purchasing, as I can't find the latest firmware update for UK, only Nort America, which is like V12 and mine is V9. Does anyone have a fix for the guest network no internet access.Solved167Views0likes25CommentsPrinter's IP seen, but cannot connect
On a Mac with Tahoe 26.x.x Logging in to the Orbi dashboard, my two printers are clearly seen with valid IP addresses. But when I try to connect and print, they say offline. One is wifi to the RBR and one is connected to the by wifi RBS If I turn off a printer and turn int back on, the printer is recognized again and I can print. I have tried refreshing the attached devices in the dashboard, but it doesn't show any updates. Any thoughts?134Views0likes12CommentsDoes ORBI RBE 971 have QoS settings?
Hi, I have a ORBI RBE971 router with two 970 satellites. I can't find anywhere to set up QoS. I've been an ORBI user since they first came out, and have gone through most generations of the systems. I've always been able to set QoS under the Advanced section of the web page, but there is no longer such a menu entry. Has the 971 lost QoS capability? Seems odd for the flagship device. For about a year and a half, I dealt with frequent drops on my Orbi system. A couple months ago, I got serious. Drops were daily, sometimes multiple times. I have about 150 devices, mostly Lumary recessed lights. Cool, but noisy. I’m replacing them with Hue lights for their bridge. I use Kasa switches, but I’m switching to Lutron Caseta with a bridge, plugging into a satellite. The USB-powered fans I found on Amazon fit like a glove on the router and satellites—almost as if made for them. With the fan, temps dropped from 100°F to 75-80°F. The last 24 hours—no drops. Crashes used to happen when everyone streamed; now stable. I’ll add these $15 fans to satellites too. With Hue and Lutron bridges, I’m hoping to clean up network noise even more!177Views1like5Comments
