Adding a password to the VPN service?
I just got the VPN service running on my Orbi. It works great, and after a couple hour of playing with the settings, I can now route all internet traffic through the Orbi, which is great when I'm at a cafe somewhere. What makes me extremely worried, though, is that there is no password authentication, which means anybody with the certificate will immediately have access to my internal network (I almost e-mailed the certificate to my wife so she could get it working on her laptop too, before I realized that's more or less the same as sending her my login password in the clear--not a good idea). Is there actually a way to set up the Orbi VPN server to require a password? If not, when will Netgear implement one?Password READYSHARE differente
Buongiorno Ho da poco installato una piccola rete domestica, utilizzando il mio D6220 per condividere una chiavetta USB con dei documenti. Al momento la password che si può inserire è solo quella di amministrazione del modem. Però a questo punto un ospite, potrebbe accedere al modem e cambiare i settaggi! Suggerisco di inserire la possibilità di usare una password differente per READYSHARE, quindi non la stessa del modem. I have a range extender and I have used it at my house before easily with no problem. Currently I am away at college and the Wi-Fi only reaches half of my room so I figured why not being my range extender. The problem is at home all you need is a password. Here you need to add a username and password but it only gives me the option for a paraphrase Or in normal case where you put in the password. When i try to log in local to the app it says admin... I put in the password and says I have the wrong password. I tried them all . I even have my browser open to the router and I'm connected on the phone to the main network. When i enter in the IP address listed in the online log-in information it tells me that either my device is nit supported (which it is) and to not habe IPsv6 enabled(which I don't) Please help me log into and use this app.
