Password READYSHARE differente
Buongiorno Ho da poco installato una piccola rete domestica, utilizzando il mio D6220 per condividere una chiavetta USB con dei documenti. Al momento la password che si può inserire è solo quella di amministrazione del modem. Però a questo punto un ospite, potrebbe accedere al modem e cambiare i settaggi! Suggerisco di inserire la possibilità di usare una password differente per READYSHARE, quindi non la stessa del modem. Spero prendiate in considerazione questo suggerimento!

WNDR3400v3 N600 Wireless Dual Band Router password reset instructions don't work
I don't understand why when I ran antivirus software it alerted me I have a weak router username and password. I have set a new username and password and have clicked "apply." But when I follow the instructions which are copied>pasted, below, I get to step 2. and it only accepts the *old* username and password to log in as described in step 2. Then when I do step 4 and click on "Wireless," it opens up the page and displays the *new* updated SSID and Passphrases, NOT the *old* username and password I had to type in in step 2. Why do they not match? I want to update my "too weak" username and password but it does not appear to be saving it based on going through the provided steps, below. Even more confusing: Step 6 is not accurate because there is no field with that name. There is a field named "passphrase," but not a field named "Password (Network Key)." I have clicked the "apply" button but then when I log out and try to log back in again, once again it asks for a username and password but will only take the *old* one, and my antivirus scan repeats that the username and password are still too weak. Here are the steps NETGEAR offers me online for my model: Article ID: 23439 To change your WiFi password or network name (SSID): Launch an Internet browser and type http://www.routerlogin.net into the address bar. If you are having problems accessing routerlogin.net, visit Router login page cannot be displayed or is blank. Enter the router user name and password when prompted. The default user name is admin. The default password is password. Click OK. The BASIC Home page displays. Select Wireless. Enter your new user name in the Name (SSID) field. Enter your new password in the Password (Network Key) fields. Click the Apply button. Your changes are saved.

Reset Password on my Router WNR3500L
I reset my password on the router. 5 minutes later i tried to access and it says my password is incorrect. It will not accept the old or new passwords. How do i reset it again? I have the disc if needed.

2.5 ghz password not what Nighthawk admin shows
Hi, Lately my iphone's have been asking for the password if I ask for the 2.5 ghz ssid on my Nighthawk. I go to a PC and look at the password on admin and the password that fails is what I have been putting in. I have a vacation home with a Linksys router that has the same ssid name as the 2.5 ghz on my nighthawk and have been there recently. Could that be what is confusing the Nighthawk?

NETGEAR AC1900 - How to change Default rout password, I have done this in past.. Can't figure it out
I have a netgear AC1900 I need to change the basic standard default password that is used to get into the Router. I'm not talking about the network password. It comes standard with Admin and "Password"... I have always changed it, as in any real business environment it is a must to have this changed and secured. I did see another posting- but it had NO information.. just a guy getting condending about nobody needs to do this but the CIA .. FBI.. was crazy- apparently doesn't work in a real business enviroment- and just wants to ream people. I see someone else was asking but really just gave up after they got blasted by that guy.. and the thread was closed with no real answer - just that it can't be done.. of course it can... Please if anyone has the procedure to do this simple change on the AC1900 please let me know. Thank you in advance!

Guest network password--nothing works
Hi Netgear! I'm trying to enable my guest network. Nothing I enter into the password field is accepted as a password and I get the message telling me about the "8 to 63 ASCII or 64 hex digits." The latter I assume is WRONG, as it is asking for 64-bit number _represented_ in base 16 (which makes it 64 bits / 4 bits-per-hex digit = 16 hex digits). Aaaaaaanyway, so, nothing I enter is accepted: "a" -- No. "a123b123" -- No. "t1234567" -- No. "Test1234" -- No, and I've attached a picture of this. 64-bit number in base 16 --No. So, my question is, what is one supposed to put in the field for a guest network password? See the attached picture--I get this "error message" for any string I put into the password field. Modem firmware, V1.0.9.18_1.2.27.

How do I change the default username on WNDR3700v5
Hello, I found how to change the administration password on my router, but I would also like to change admin by something else. I have been looking for a while and was unable to find anywhere how to replace 'admin' by something else. Extender Incorrect Password
HI, I have an extender and since changing my internet provider whatever I try to connect my devices won't acceot the new password, saying it's incorrect. I've tried the set up wizrd just connecting to Netgear. I've factory re-set a few times. Nothing works. Any ideas?

Factory Default Reset is MESSED UP on N450 CG3000Dv2
I was using my N450 with Time Warner, then switched so I decided to sell it. I tried resetting it to factory default, but when it finished, the result was a completely different SSID than the one printed on the side, and of course the pass key didn't work. The sticker on the side says the factory default ssid should be D3DA66, with password (key) 3HW143WE019AE (same as the serial #). But after repeated attempts at resetting it (including holding it down for 30 seconds with no power and then for 30 more seconds after plugging it in), it keeps going to ssid CG3000DV260. anyone... know why it's doing this? how to get it to return to the settings printed on the side? a default password key for ssid CG3000DV260, if one exists? i'd be happy with an answer to any of the questions above.
