portforwarding
3 TopicsOrbi Portforwarding not Working
I reccently got a new orbi router and have been having issues with portforwarding. I just tried making a minecraft server and everything is fine but something with the port forwarding is wrong. I used 25565 and did UDP and TCP and my local ip. However my friends cant connect and when I go to a port tester it says that 25565 is closed on my ip. Has any one else had this issue and does anyone know how to fix it?Not Able to Port Forward
I've moved a TCP Server application behind my R8000. My Client software attempts to connect using the WAN address associated with my modem. Port Forwarding is set up to pass any TCP/UDP message to a specific computer (IP address). It appears the R8000 is not allowing a connection to be made. I have tried enabling DMZ and disabling NAT filtering. It acts as if a firewall is preventing communications from coming in. In an attempt to debug I tried a Client on the same side of the router as the server -- having the client attempt to connect via the WAN address. I've used wireshark to capture the traffic. The client issues a TCP connect (SYN) and the WAN returns a RST_ACK -- which I suspect is coming from the R8000 blocking the access. Any help on resolving this firewall/port forwarding issue I have? External (Internet) access to a WiFi IPCamera using port forwarding through Cisco router works fine Changing the WiFI IPcamera's SSID choice to the extended network of the WN3000RP works fine from devices on the Cisco router's network BUT external (Internet) access fails. The IPcamera has a fixed IP. The Cisco router has reserved that IP. Only difference is the IP camera's choice of SSID. Switching the IPCamer's choice of SSID from the extender back to the router restores external(Internet) access. Conclusion: The WN3000RP/IPcamera is not working properly with the router's portforwarding. IS ther something in the WN3000RP that needs to be changed?Set?4.4KViews0likes1Comment
