My setup is a T-Mobile Home Internet modem/router which is ethernet-wired to a Netgear RAX120 router which is now in AP mode (with a fixed static address). I just made this change to resolve a double-NAT problem. I use Access Control on the router (always have) and nothing is blocked. I've discovered that some websites (such as google.com) seem to be blocked or very slow when Access Control is turned on, but normal when it's off. Other websites (homedepot.com) aren't affected. Any help appreciated.160MHz setting for AX in RAX120v2
Hello, seeking advice - please. I have a newly acquired RAX120v2 with 1.2.10.56 firmware and chose not to use "Smart Connect WiFi" and therefore have configured separate SSIDs for 2.4 / 5 GHz . Have read that with 5GHz & WiFi 6 that 160MHz can be selected (becoming 4x4:4). I use Firefox (v140.0.4) web browser and cannot see within the router menus the options to set 160MHz. Have I misunderstood that this is a user customizable option/setting ? I am experienced with my many NG routers XR500/XR700/R7800 and RS600 coming next week.SolvedSome Android apps can't transfer data
I have a RAX120 WiFI-6 router, Ethernet-wired to a T-Mobile Home Internet modem. (I normally keep the WiFi radios in that modem off.) It's been working without problem for several years now. I recently acquired my first Android device, a Boox Go7 eReader (basically a customized Android tablet running Android 13). There are two apps I have tried (Kindle and BItwarden) that are unable to download their data from their clouds to my device. They both have access to the Internet and allow me to log in and interact with the app, but when they are trying to do their downloads, they show items queued, but after about a minute they time out with a "failed to download" error. (These similar apps on iOS devices also work fine on this network.) I've had my son download these apps to his Android (15) phone and both apps work fine there on this same network. I recently took my device to a different WiFi system and found that it worked just fine there. I then turned on the 5Ghz radio in the T-Mobile modem and connected directly to that (instead of the Netgear router which is downstream of it) and again, it worked fine! So I can't blame this on T-Mobile. There is some way that this particular device is interacting with the RAX120 that's causing a problem. I've tried turned off the WiFi-6 part. I've tried turning off Access Control (which I do normally use). I've tried both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz connections. I've verified that no ports or sites are set to be blocked in the router. PLEASE, would someone give me some ideas on what settings I should try to change to get this to work? Any ideas appreciated.SolvedTP Link toggle: TL-WN725N does not connect to Netgear Nighthawk RAX120
Dear Community I have a challenge and I do not understand what the issue could be. Hope one of you can help me. The situation is the following - I have an RAX120 Netgear Router - I have bought a machine which only works with a TP Link nano USB Toggle ref: TL-WN725N (for now it is unfortunately a fact so I need to connect this toggle to the router.) The nano link does not connect to my Netgear Router. The toggle sees other networks but it does not see my netgear router neither the 2.4ghz oder the 5ghz network. I have no clue what the reason could be but hope some one in the community does? regards MarcoSolvedNighthawk AX12 WiFi Router (RAX120) with Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream WiFi 6 Mesh Extender (EAX80)
I have ridicoulus thick walls in my flat living on floor 1 in an old appartment. This is my setup: Nighthawk AX12 AX6000 WiFi Router (RAX120) with Nighthawk AX8 AX6000 8-Stream WiFi 6 Mesh Extender (EAX80) Would changing RAX120 to a Nighthawk WiFi 7 Router RS700S, 19Gbps make any improvement on my speed and wifi cover generally? My flat is only 150sq m but thick walls so from 1Gb from fiber in to the rax120 then wifi to AX6000 means 250-300mb/s uppstream and downstream from AX6000.Latest firmware update trashed Access Control
I'm using a RAX120 router (for some years now) and have always used Access Control successfully. A few weeks ago I installed the latest firmware update (V1.2.10.56) and it (or something) has really messed up Access Control. I will see devices that are connected but blocked. I select the item and press "Allow". It goes away and when it comes back, it still shows the item as blocked. There is nothing I can do to Allow access. I see devices in that list that I know have switched to a different MAC address and so are not connected with the address that it's showing...and refresh changes nothing. With another device I was using, every time I would "Allow" it, Access Control would simultaneously Block another device I had. (No, they didn't have anywhere close to the same MAC address.) This all just started recently. Any suggestions? They claim they're not releasing any more firmware updates for the RAX120. I hope they'll make an exception since their last one broke it so badly.Solved
