Hello, I got a Netgear AC1750 WiFi Cable Modem Router, "Built-in DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem", Model C6300 about 2-3 years ago. I was using Comcast in my old apartment, but moved to a place with FIOS (internet only). I am on that network as we speak, and my speed test results (from both speedtest.net and Measurement-Lab from Google) show me at 50+ mbps upload and download. However, the network has gone in and out, and it takes a WHILE to show back up. Also, I wanted to change my network name from "NETGEAR75" but I'm unable to log in to my router via 192.168.0.1 or routerlogin.net, the second of which tells me "You are not connected to your Router’s WiFi network." which is clearly false. The network also crashes when I try to connect our new Roku Premiere to the network--it doesn't just not work for the Roku, it knocks out the wifi for the whole apartment, and I need to restart the router! If anyone has any advice here, I would really appreciate it. Clearly the router works on some level with Fios. I'm hoping there's some setting that can be changed to get over these hurdles, and I don't need to get a whole new router or start renting from Verizon again!3.7KViews0likes2CommentsCG3000DV2 Cable Gateway will not connect to Roku Wirelessly
Just got this today from Amazon. Setup was easy and got it online with Brighthouse. Wifi works fine with Laptop, tablet etc but Roku fails on third step: Connect to Wireless - OK Connect to LAN - OK Connect to Internet - FAIL error 009 ( DNS) If I use an ethernet cable it works fine so DNS is ok If I connect my old WiFi router downstream of the new one the Roku can connect fully to that router's SSID So it appears that there is something going wrong in the Netgear- Roku handshake but just for this router. Any ideas?2KViews0likes2CommentsRoku 2 Won't Retrieve Some MP4 Files From ReadyShare Network Drive
My new Roku 2's Media Player will not retrieve and play some MP4 files from the WD Elements hard drive connected as a ReadyShare drive to my Netgear EX6300. Many MP4 and MKV files load and play just fine from the ReadyShare drive, but certain ones hang at about 10% on the "retrieving" screen and never load. I put an MP4 file that would not retrieve via the router on a USB thumb drive and plugged it directly into the Roku, and it retrieved and played perfectly. What could be going on?3.6KViews0likes3Comments
