Update/Refresh Netgear Genie Program
PLEASE update the Genie program. It is so slow, clunky, outdated, and ugly. It's really pathetic, especially in the vain of more expensive hardware. The user experience does not match the price. It's like buying a Mercedes but the seats are made of cheap cloth. If I spend hundreds of dollars on a top of the line product, I expect the software to be excellent. Other companies have much better software. Catch up.Feature request (force a device to a specific Orbi)
I have one problem device that, for some reason, always chooses the Satellite Orbi instead of the Router Orbi, which is always the furtherest away from the device. The Router Orbi is by far the closer one to the device. I can reboot the network and the device will connect to the Router, but will eventually creep back to the Satellite for whatever reason. It's a stationary device (TV) and never moves. I'd like to request to have a feature implemented that will allow us to "force" or designate a specific device to a specific Orbi. I know they plan on releasing a firmware that will allow us to customize how the lights on top act (always on, etc), which I hope gets released soon! My currently installed firmware (Comcast ISP) is 3.01.6 and the Netgear support page lists 3.01.14 as the current release. However when I go to the product's Download Firmware and Documentation support page, the only things available for download are Genie apps. Where can I find this firmware release and is there another way to update the Modem/Gateway besides a PC-connected upload?Are you going to compensate us for this non-availability of service? ? ( ORBI disconnections)
Hello, I bought an Orbi in the summer of 2017. (package 1 routeur / 1 satellite) until October 2017, I didn't have problems. But I made an update (my biggest error !) and since I have disconnections. (currently i have 2.1.2.18 firmware) I am no longer able to listen to music (Sonos) or watch Netflix. It has been 3 months now. I do not know what to do ! I understand the issue is with the Google product, If your product is not compatible with google products said it on the box. Are you going to compensate us for this non-availability of service? ? My job is to advise people for technological products. I am not in a position to recommend you product ... I am really disappointed because I find your product really interesting and well positioned Thank you Julien
