upnp
9 TopicsUPNP no longer works
I just updated to Firmware V1.0.3.16 After the router completed the update, UPNP no longer works. I have tried rebooting the router several times but the port is not being automatically forwarded to the computer on the network. I have never had an issue with this before. Two ports that are usually handled are transmission and Plex. I manually forwarded the ports and it is working. But I shouldnt have to manually manage the connections. Any ideas on how to get it working again?Solved4.4KViews0likes7Comments'Back to My Mac' and UPnP
I have an R9000 and an iMac configured as a file server. Also have a separate MacBook Pro. I've configured file sharing, screen sharing and 'Back to My Mac', in order to access the iMac when I'm not connected to my home network. It works. However, when I am not in my home network, the service is very slow. I checked the configuration on the MacBook Pro when outside of the home network, and to the right of the 'Back to My Mac' icon (in iCloud configuration), a cautionary message appears: 'Back to My Mac may be slow because NAT Port Mapping (NAT-PMP) or Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is turned off on your router. Turn on NAT-PMP or UPnP.' My UPnP is turned on. Any ideas for what I might do differently? Any different configurations on the R9000? BTW I've already cleaned keychain, turned Back to My Mac and Sharing off and on as well as re-installed the entire OS on the iMac. I've also attempted to setup port forwarding for every port Apple indicates is used by the service Back to My Mac, which shouldn't be necessary since it uses UPnP but I tried it anyway, without success. Once again, I have the service working - it is just very slow (especially the file sharing). Thanks for any ideas!Solved3.3KViews0likes2CommentsMR1100 – Nighthawk M1 Strict NAT on Xbox Issue
Hello, all. A few months back I purchased a unlimited data plan with at&t along with this hotspot in order to game on the Xbox One with it. So, I get on Xbox to find that I have a Strict NAT. I know many here would automatically point me towards a beginners guide on port forwarding but, that's my problem. I did that. I port forwarded everything it asked me to, I tried it both with a static IP and without a static IP. I reset my Xbox time and time again along with clearing the MAC address (After every change to the settings I the modem I made, I reset my Xbox and made sure to unplug it for at least a minute and drain the power block). Hell, I even tried to enable DMZ, knowing that it was dangerous and it STILL didn't open my NAT. My model of nighthawk has UPnP, but that doesn't work either for some reason. In the network settings of the Xbox it says the following: IPv4 NAT Type: Strict UPnP not successful xbox.com/xboxone/UPnP All services are available. I went to the link provided here and tried their method to make UPnP work. It didn't. I attached a screenshot of my attwifimanager page show what I did to port forward (I blocked out my static IP because I didn't know if it would be safe to share here) I would be grateful to anyone who could give me a STEP BY STEP for this model/at&t solution. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong because I've been trying to fix this for months.Open Ports on C6300
When I scan my NAT, I see: 192.168.x.1 Host is up (0.047s latency). Not shown: 96 closed ports PORT STATE SERVICE 53/tcp open domain 80/tcp open http 445/tcp open microsoft-ds 5000/tcp open upnp MAC Address: 6C:B0:CE:8C:14:2A (Netgear) AND 192.168.x.254 Host is up (0.0034s latency). Not shown: 98 closed ports PORT STATE SERVICE 514/tcp open shell 49152/tcp open unknown MAC Address: 28:C6:8E:00:00:01 (Netgear) I disabled readyshare and upnp. What are these open ports all about? How the heck do I close them? Thanks2.7KViews0likes1CommentPort Forward not work!
Hello! :manhappy: Sorry for my english, i try to do the best. I work and play online videogames out of my home, for this reason in the last 10 years i bought 3 hotspot modem. The first was a Novatell Wireless MiFi, one of the first model, and with it i have not a minimun problem because it is totally open (not have security features, nat, firewall etc...) but not is 4G and today we need 4G :) The second one was a TP-Link hotspot, great connection but i have some issue with it (one of all, no port forward feature inside control panel and i have a lot of issues with online videogames), for this reason i bought a Netgear Aircard 785S on Amazon (a smooth version, without sim or data plan) because i read that it have a port forward, dmz and upnp, very nice! My settings: - DHCP enabled - my notebook have a static IP - my antivirus/firewall (NOD32) disabled - created some rules inside firewall to allow all comunications in/out. - windows firewall and windows defender turned off. I tested Aircard with one game in particular, Rainbow Six Siege. first try, open all listed ports on official game forum but didn't work. Second try, activate uPnP but didn't work, last try, turn on DMZ and this worked. Ok good, i resolved all my problems! Yesterday came out a new game, Toxikk, a game where i can host a custom match/server and i try to do it but without success. My server not listed on server list, and my friend can't connect to it (remaining on the "connecting" screen). I'm already on DMZ and this leave me thinking..... DMZ work or not? Dunno... From here i done a lot of test... i turned on only uPnP, not work, only DMZ, not work, i turned off all and I open ports one by one, not work, i tried some combinations of DMZ, uPnP and ports, not work. I tried to uninstall NOD32 or disable it, not work. At this point i checked if ports are open with online tool, like http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ . I start a server that are listening on port 7777 and i checked on website: the port is closed. I dunno if this online tool is good, because i tried to check a lot of ports and all are closed, also 21 and 80. At this point my consideration is that port forward not work. but also DMZ? And uPnP? I wrong something? I dunno, i spoke with some friend that can start a server without problem, and he say me that he just open 2 ports, 777 and 27015. I do the same, but my server is not visible and joinable. Why? I hope someone can help me.. thanks!Developer request: SubSonic 6.0 package for ReadyNAS OS 6.0
Dear ReadyNAS developers, First of all many thanks for contributing to the Netgear ReadyNAS community! I have been using the Subsonic 4.9 package (made by Super_poussin) for the ReadyNAS OS 6.0 with pleasure but would very much like to upgrade to the new version 6.0 Would it be possible for anyone of you to make a new package of SubSonic 6.0, which I can install on my RN102 (ARM) box? I would very much appreciate it. Sincerly yours, Fremske link to SubSonic 6 repo: http://www.subsonic.org/pages/download.jspSolvedSeeking for help about UPnP issue. (PS4 Gaming GBONEXT)
To All Friends, Thank you for reading my post. My issue is, why sometimes my UPnP rules are not correctly generated. I'm a PS4 player who mainly play Gundam Battle Operation Next. Normally, from openning PS4 until I login the game, it will generate 3 different UPnP rules. 1. UDP 9308 This one usually appears after I tested or retested the networking of PS4 2. UDP 9305 & UDP 9306 They appear when I am logging in the game However, sometimes I can never have 9305,9306 and 9308. All I have are randomly generated UPnP rules whish will have bad effect on gaming. I asked other players, when you have UDP 9306, the networking during the game is the best and the most stable one. Reboot PS4, reboot router, clear and reopen UPnP have no use. I have to wait, sometimes 2-3 hours and things goes normal again. Is this the problem of my ISP, or I should do some settings? If somebody had ever played the game, you will know the game needs strong networking. If you disconnected during the battle it will have penalty. Wish you guys can give me some help Best regards RX-78SolvedUPnP Not activated On a FVS338
