I've been struggling with my C6300 Modem/Router combo for over 3 months now. I am at the end of my sanity. While I am streaming video, connecting to the company via virtual office(VPN), etc., my internet connection drops out on that device and switches to "no inernet connection" (I can still see my home network, just not the internet). The other devices in the home continue to function correctly. This happens on different operating systems, different laptops, and even my smart TV. The fix is either to disconnect and reconnect to wifi or reboot the C6300. I have had over a dozen conversations with Time Warner Cable who has come out to my house multiple times, has replaced lines, and assures me that the problem is not with their network. I've verified that the power levels are in range according to manufacturer specs (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24311?cid=wmt_netgear_organic). I've removed all splitters and connect the modem/router directly to the wire entering my home. I've also tried all kinds of different wireless channels both on the 2.4 and 5GHz ranges. Lastly, I've confirmed that I am on the proper firmware version. When connecting a device, I have a strong signal each time the issue occurs. It has been occurring DAILY usually multiple times per day.2.3KViews0likes1CommentIntermittent wireless Internet drops
Model: C3000 Firmware: V2.02.08 OS: OSX 10.11.6 I'm having an increasingly technically issue where my wireless connection drops and all my connected devices are not able to connect to the Internet. First, all the modem/wireless lights remain green and I stay connected to the network however when I disconnect from wifi and attempt to reconnect I'm prompted to enter my wifi password and it comes back incorrect. The only way to resolve the issue is to manually restart the router and everything is fine. I've changed the wireless settings to manually connect to the best wireless channel and I've disabled Access Control to ensure there's no devices being blocked. It's getting frustrating as this issue is happening my frequently. It used to be every 2-3 days now its several times a day. Please help! Edit: I've pulled the event logs and I'm seeing DoS attack? How can I stop this? Recently bought C3000 Cable Gateway (Time Warner ISP) have changed my router name, password, and channel, but otherwise using default settings. I've reached out to Time Warner to trouble shooting, but they've not been able to provide any help, they say the connection is strong and consistent on their end. The problem - Every 30mins my internet connection will time out, this time out will last about 2 - 5 mins. Then the connection will return to normal. The signal indicator remains strong and connected during the drop out. I would appreciate any help, guidance, and troubleshooting!2.7KViews1like3CommentsC3700 Wireless Gateway Radio Crashes
I've got a C3700-100NAS hooked up to my Mac via ethernet. This is the second time that the wireless disabled itself (the first time it seemed to randomly turn back on after lots of coaxing, and I don't remember what we did to have that occur). For some reason, when I go into router login.net, and either a) apply the wireless gateway that way or b) just try to access the advanced tab at all, the router restarts itself, and I have to start over again, but never getting past the point of just allowing myself to enable to wireless within the server itself. Of course, the button is useless to me, too, as it responds to nothing. Is there some method that would allow me to force it to enable the wireless again? Does this make it faulty in some way? Also, should I try to reset it completely? I'm not sure how to find the reset on this device. Thanks and let me know if this requires more information. I've been trying to get it to work via ethernet on Mac 10.5, but in the last time it had this problem, I also tried via ethernet on Mac 10.8.3.4KViews0likes2Comments
